Favorite Things in Paris 2026

OK, I know last week I did a “currently loving” and mentioned a lot of what I was loving in Paris, but there is so much to love, so here is another list of my favorite current things in Paris 2026.

1. Graffiti Tunnel

Over half a mile long, this tunnel near the Tuileries is so fun to bike / run in. But you can’t be claustrophobic! I loved looking at the art as I ran by — so many talented street artists out there!

2. Biologique Recherche

Hands down my favorite facial in the world is at Biologique Recherche headquarters — unbelievable and a quarter of the prize than it would be in the USA.

3. Forte Forte

One day (during my time alone), I just went in and out of all the stores wandering and wandering. I love forte-forte as it is always one of my favorite brands. I fell in love with this crochet top, but alas, they didn’t have my size. But I loved everything in there even though I walked out empty handed.

4. Matisse Exhibit

Loved this bright and colorful exhibition at the Grand Palais filled with Matisse. I loved everything in there.

5. Assouline Bookstore

I loved this original location of the Assouline bookstore — each one of these books was beautiful and if I didn’t have to travel, I would have bought many!

6.  Bourse de Commerce

Fun exhibition about fog. I always love the building more than anything, though.

7. Sunsets

Dare I say that NO city or place has the same light and sunsets as Paris. I love every night there — the skies just light up and shine bright.

8. Frenchie restaurant

One of my favorite restaurants in the world — Frenchie. It is a tasting menu, and every dish was incredible. Our problem was that it was during the heat wave and the restaurant didn’t have AC so we were dying. DYING. But the food was unbelievable.

9. Ateliers des Lumières

A fun museum I always go to when in Paris that is less known that the other major ones. It is an interactive experience and felt amaaaaazing on the hot day.

10. The Ballet

Incredible. Loved every second. Did you know that the average age of the audience in Paris is 44 years old? Compare that to NYC where the average age is 66!!!! I loved this ballet — beautiful dancing and costumes.

11. Notre Dame at Dusk

This was taken at 10 pm. Yup, incredible. Everything about it.

12. Strawberries

Strawberries in the produce stores, yes please. Best strawberries in the world.

Hope you have a lovely long weekend celebrating the 4th of July (to those in the US). We are in the southwest of France and loving every minute here.

Currently Loving June 2026 Part 2

OK so yes we made it to Paris and it was a big blur — lots of friends in town that made it so much fun as well as jam packed. There is so much to love here and I could post a million posts on what I love. So I am going to start with just a few right now from the first week and then come back with more! But here is what I am loving in Paris.

1. European Espresso

It tastes and hits differently in Europe. Love it so much.

Currently Loving June 2026 Part 1

Happy June 1st! Can you believe it? I CANNOT HOLY CRAP. Ok, but here is what I am currently loving right now.

1. My Boy

Cheesy but true, the most important thing I am loving is the fact that my son came back from boarding school yesterday. It was as if I could breathe again — yes he bossed me around to do everything and I have been knee deep in laundry and unpacking, but MAN, how I love having him home.

2. Off Campus

Spent the weekend binging this show. Loved every episode. Can’t wait for second season. HIGHLY recommend. Easy, light, teeny bopper show.

3. Rafa on Neftlix

And it goes without saying that I am also binging the docuseries on Netflix about Rafa — my true hero. I love him so much.

4. Manhattanhenge

Day 1 — perfect sunset in the grid.

5. Manhattanhenge Day 2

Day 2. No sunset because of the clouds, but got a photo of something even better, my boo Tusia.

6. Keith Haring at the Brandt Foundation

Even though it was sold out, I went to the Brandt Foundation on Friday and was able to go in to see the exhibit. And even better — they were free tickets, because last minute some free slots opened up. Nothing better. Getting in when you don’t expect it and for free. Although the exhibit is now closed, I loved going. I didn’t love the show (I liked it), but I always love seeing art.

7. Helen Frankenthaler @ The Gagosian

Last Wednesday, squeezed in some galleries in Chelsea. I particularly loved this green one by Helen Frankenthaler. But overall the whole show was beautiful, colorful, bright and happy.

8. JP Morgan Wall and connecting it to Nature

The facade on the front of this building is modeled after the stone and plants at the 67th Street playground in Central Park. My brother had investigated this (he read an article and then went to see it) — so when he was here two weeks ago, we went and investigated it ourselves — and sure enough — they look identical.

9. Penny Linn Needlepoint Store

A new needlepoint store is in town! Although most of the canvases are small and NYC based, I did manage to find some big ones. And it has a beautiful selection of fibers — so definitely check it out if you are in town.

10. Umbrella Dancing

Randomness of NYC — spotting women in Chinatown learning a choreographed dance with umbrellas. I love this type of fun and adventure.

So there you have it, what I am loving right now! Any suggestions and ideas of things you love that you want to share? Send them my way!

Currently Loving May 2026 Part 1

It has been up and down weather in NYC this month, but so much to love and (also look forward to). Here is what I am currently loving:

1. Noah Kahan “All Them Horses”

I love Noah Kahan. Deep love. And I love his new album — especially this song. I have listened to it over and over again recently and every time, I love it more. Highly recommend.

2. Lilacs

Currently Loving March 2026 Part 2

Yes, on the last day of March, here is what I am currently loving.

1. Bon Iver’s Day One

Literally, can’t get enough of this song (or this video) and have listened to it maybe 100 times in the past week. I love it so much — and no, it’s not new, I just recently discovered this song and can’t get enough.

Currently Loving December 2025 Part 1

And just like that….here we are in December! I can NOT believe how this year flew by. Here is what I am loving:

1. Ruth Asawa at the MoMA

At the MoMA until February 7th — must go and see! Over 300 pieces of work — and each one so intricate and beautiful. As someone who weaves baskets, it made it even more incredible — they are BEYOND beautiful and take so much patience and skill. A must visit.

Currently Loving August 2025

So basically, my August loves are the same as July’s loves. I mean, same same different. Same type of thing, but different at same time. But in the spirit of sharing (over sharing sometimes, too!), here are my loves for August.

1. Fresh Peaches

The problem is trying to figure out what to do with all the peaches. We had a bake off and had three different types of desserts with peaches — so delicious.

Currently Loving June 2025

BLINK and here we are in June. In disbelief at how time flies, floats, and passes. So here is what I am loving right now.

1. My Boy Home

My boy is back from boarding school and I couldn’t be happier to have him home. And with me. And in my arms. He had the best year and I am forever grateful for this experience at his new school, but man, I have missed him. And so happy to be reunited.

Currently Loving January 2025

Last week of January — longest month EVER!!!! — it (always) feels like it lasts a full year instead of just a month. Especially this year. Here is what I am loving this month!

1.  The Let Them Theory

I am currently listening to this as an audio book — and I love it so much. Every part of it — and it feels like Mel Robbins is speaking to you as a friend. HIGHLY highly recommend reading it — but even more, listening to it.

Currently Loving November 2024

This morning when I was walking the dog, I was in disbelief that there were Christmas lights on so many of the stores along Madison Avenue….but then I realized, we are 2/3 done with November and it is almost December….how did this happen? In any case, Christmas light season here we are. And here is what I am currently loving.

1. Bonbon Candies

When I went to visit Cruzzie, I thought it would be nice to bring him and his friends something from NYC to CA. It had to be compact, easy to travel with, and something everything would like — which turns out to be candy. Bonbon candy. It was a huge hit and worth lugging it across the country.

Currently Loving #2 April 2024

The days are long, the weeks are short, but here we are to almost May! So much has happened this month — mainly, going back to school (and teaching) after Spring Break, a cross country tip to visit schools, a family medical situation, more work, more rain, more running, more forgetfulness. Not sure what happened, but the month went WOOSH by. Now, I am getting ready to plan for summer, go BACK to the west coast for a marathon, finish up the school year, and all the other normal busy end of the year obligations. So apologies for the sporadic posts, I am committed to being more consistent going forward. And here is what I am currently loving:

1. Flowers in NYC

Nothing beats the flowers in the city in Springtime. My favorite thing is to look at the difference stages of all the tulips along Park Avenue, the various magnolia, cherry trees, the violets, the pansies, all the bright colors and smells. LOVE.

Currently Loving March 2024

And here we are! March! This is what I am currently loving (of course also longer days, more sunlight, sparkling water, hot showers, etc)…

1.  Hot Cocoa from Glace

A TikTok trend of Smores hot cocoa at a cute (and small) boutique on Madison Avenue. Worth it! VERY VERY sweet but so fun and different (especially on a cold, snowy day, like we treated ourselves to these on).

Currently Loving January 2024

ANOTHER YEAR, another Currently Loving post! And so here we are! Here is what I am loving:

1. No.6 Store Socks

My forever style muse sent me an email to get these socks — and whatever she tells me to get, I do! (She used to have her own style newsletter and I wish she still had it!!!). These socks are fun (not necessarily warm for NYC winters, but cute and stylish) and I can’t wait to wear them!

2. Cityscape Needlepoint Project

Currently Loving November 2023

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT THANKSGIVING IS PRACTICALLY HERE? I have no idea how that happened. Literally, the other day, I was convinced it was September (maybe I am losing my mind a little). A lot has been happening on my end — I accepted a job to teach again, applying my son to high schools, dealing with the insanity and sadness of the antisemitism in the world, and just trying to balance everything else out! It has been an adjustment (and I haven’t even started full time yet!)….so here is what I am loving this month.

1. Christie’s Auction Sale

Did you know that during the auction sales, anyone can go to the auction house (for free!) and see all the art work? I stopped by this past week for 30 minutes and it was glorious — just a quick runby to see all the work (and they have the prices on them, which is FASCINATING!). I loved this Frida Kahlo painting that she did of her sister….

Currently Loving October 2023

There is a lot of sadness and heartache in the world right now — it is all so hard to hear and read. So here is what I am currently loving right now.

1. Pumpkin Banana Pudding

I know it sounds weird — but it might have been the most amazing and delicious thing I have ever eaten. HIGHLY recommend. It tasted like pumpkin cheesecake and was so rich and decadent, and I finished the whole thing (over the period of a couple of days).

Currently Loving September 2023

Here is what I am loving this month! And as always, please email / text / call / message me with everything and anything you love — I truly love hearing the little snippets of joy that you enjoy, too!

1. Manet x Degas Exhibition at The Met

One of the beauties of NYC is the access to all the museums. As I walk by the Met every single day to get to my daughter’s school, I became a member, and love popping in just for a quick look. On Thursday, on a whim, I stopped by the newly opened “Manet x Degas” — there was no line (I went an hour before closing) and IT WAS AMAZING. I loved every single thing about the exhibition and learned so much! I had no idea that Manet and Degas were friends and the similarities and differences between the two. I stayed for an hour, and will go back to soak it all in again. I highly recommend. And great to go when no line!

Currently Loving July 2023

…and just like that, we are almost to August. Of course, when it comes close to August, I start panicking about the end of summer. Summer is BY FAR my favorite season — the weather, the freedom, the travel, I love it all. And August is like a BIG ‘OL SUNDAY…..So, trying to focus on the present moment, here is what I am currently loving!

1. Crochet Top

Crochet is definitely having a moment this summer, and I love this top. It is great over bathing suits, or on a hike 🙂 I love it so much.

Currently Loving June 2023 #1

HOLY CRAP IT IS JUNE AND I AM IN DISBELIEF AND SO BEHIND IN EVERYTHING WITH LIFE. Including blog posts. Apologies, here I am! It is one thing after another and next week, I have to take my dog to Oregon and the week after, I leave NYC for the summer. Gulp. Lots to do. So without further ado, here is what I am currently loving!

1. Emmy Squared Pizza

Detroit style pizza — crusty, scrumptious, cheesy, and ever so delicious. Highly recommend.

Currently Loving April 2023

I feel like we just got back from Spring Break, and now it is almost May. How does that happen? Literally time flies after the last school break and wooooooshhhh almost summer. Here is what I am currently loving this month.

1. Poems in Central Park

I love walking and strolling around Central Park on a beautiful weekend day and seeing so many different sights, people, performers, sounds. There is SOOOO much to look at. You don’t need to go to a Broadway show!!! Last weekend, I especially liked this woman who was writing poems for people. “Custom Poems on Demand.”
