February is a bizarre month — it is the shortest, feels the longest, yet is gone before I know it. So here is what I am loving this month (before it is March — hip hip hooray, Spring, we cannot wait!)

Hello from LA! The kids and I started the summer out west with a California adventure before we ultimately end up in Oregon. So far we are truly enjoying the laid-back-vibe, the Pacific Ocean breeze, the sunshine, and just being out here! LA is truly la-la-land and such a beautiful and idyllic place to live — if NYC doesn’t work out, LA here I come! In the meantime, here is what I am currently loving this month, June 2020!
1. Money Heist
Spanish TV series — SO GOOD. Must watch!!! I am at the beginning of Season 2 and I can’t wait to watch it. OBSESSED.
Hi friends, I apologize for my silence last week. It was a little hectic trying to figure out my family’s next move and reaction to the COVID-19 sweeping the world and I froze (and was unable to write). Ultimately, we decided that it was best for me and the kids to go down to Florida to my in-law’s empty condo while Ken stayed behind to deal with the chaos of the virus hitting the business. It is not lost on me how lucky we are to have the option to get out of the city and have another place to go, that we have the means to buy back up supplies and groceries, and have the flexibility to get up and move. This crisis is affecting every person, world wide, and it’s devastating and hard. I waver between moments of worries, concerns, tears, frets, fears; and then being ok and breathing and dealing with moment to moment instead of thinking long term. My heart goes out to people that have it much harder….I wish it weren’t so. Stay inside, support small businesses, connect with friends, show your love, be kind, and take it day by day. In the meantime, here is what I am currently loving this month. And I will be back to normal posting — thank you for your patience.
1. I Refuse to Run a Coronavirus Home School
Mid way through November dot dot dot…..which means only 1.5 more months until 2020. I have no idea, absolutely NO CLUE, how that happened. Seems like the days and weeks (and months and years) are just flying by…..In the meantime, here is a quick reflection at what I am currently loving this month. Of course, there is so much to love — family, friends, health, and connection — but here are the little tid bits and extras that I am loving.
I realize that I do lots of posts on mascara, but I can’t help not…..this mascara is the perfect inexpensive, non gloopy, not dramatic, everyday mascara.
More than half way done with the month and almost to Halloween! Here is what I am currently loving this October! Take a look.
I went last night to see this incredible improv, hip hop, audience interactive show. AND HOLY SMOKES, as soon as I got home, I was searching tickets for future dates. If you are in New York City before January 5th, this is a MUST SEE. Absolute, bold italic highlighted 42 font size must go see.
Here we are, (mid) JULY! And here is what I am currently loving this month! And please share with me what you are loving — I love hearing what books, articles, songs, sweatshirts, anything and everything that you are loving oh so much.
1. Avett Brothers song “No Hard Feelings“
Good song — makes me want to cry. But super musical and beautiful.
Back at it again….here is what I am currently loving this month!
Recommended by a friend to watch, I saw this movie before we went to see “Free Solo” — another exhilarating and amazing film that I highly recommend. I loved everything about “The Dawn Wall” — and the message of how you don’t know anything is impossible until you try to make it possible. Tommy Caldwell is inspiring, strong, talented and a serious bad a$$. Since watching “The Dawn Wall,” I have read every article about Tommy and listened to every podcast that he has been in. Incredibly addicting and mesmerizing.
A belated Merry Christmas! I hope everyone who celebrated found a way to find some joy and happiness. Right now, we are in Sunriver, Oregon with my family and have been leading a very slow paced and relaxing week. We are spending a lot of time eating, sleeping, skiing, and being together! I can’t believe how fast the time flies…..With less than a week left of December AND 2018, here is what I am currently loving!
1. Whole Foods Peanut Butter Trail Mix
And just like that, here we are in November. This Fall has sped by so fast and I am in disbelief — wasn’t it just SUMMER?!?!?!? Here is what I am currently loving!
___
1. Benny Blanco and Calvin Harris’s new song “I found you” but even more specifically the video when Francis Farewell Starlight dances with Benny Blanco.
GAWD, I love these two guys. First of all, I have been a fan of Francis and the Lights for several years — the music makes me so happy. And Francis is just the cutest, most random dude ever. So the fact that he is in this video (he is not involved with the music or lyrics or production of it in the slightest) makes me so happy. I want to learn how to do this dance. It is so FUN. And life is about having FUN!
With a snap of a finger, lightning speed, here we are in December. Mid December, in fact. Not sure how time flies as fast as it does, but, it does. So without further ado, here is what I am currently loving this month! Enjoy!
GENIUS.
I like how it is mid December, and we have already received 100 cards. Mind you, I also sent out my cards on the 1st of December, so just like me, most of our friends like to be early….. This holiday card ring hack has changed my life — it literally makes me so happy every day to have the cards OUT, without cluttering up the house!
Although I love August, the fact that summer is almost over makes me emotional and sad. I love summer so much and knowing that the end is near is always so hard. That said, here is what I am currently loving (and yes, I am trying hard to be “present” and “current”)
August in Oregon. Dry and hot.
Here we are in the final stretch of February…a little odd because we are just in the middle of February, but because of the short month, it is near the end (#MathTeacher). Here is what I am currently loving this month.
1. Katy Perry ‘Chained to the Rhythm’
I first heard this song at the Grammy’s where she performed live with Skip Marley, and it instantly got stuck in my head. Now, we play it on repeat and everyone in the family dances along.
Katy Perry. What is not to love about this song? Everything about it — the lyrics, the beat, the tune, everything just makes me so happy and makes me want to dance, dance, dance to the distortion.
Sorry for not doing my typical three posts last week. Truth be told, I was a little (or a lot) paralyzed by the election results and just couldn’t function. I have been experiencing the grief cycle, and finally feel able to be a little more positive… I hope that feeling lasts more than an hour. In the meantime, here is what I am currently loving this November:
1. My number 1 podcast, How I Built This
I go through phases with different podcasts, but “How I Built This” is the one that I listen to every single week. And can’t wait for the following week’s edition.
It’s the last week of April, so here is what I am loving April 2016.
1. Hamilton celebrating Prince.
Two weeks later and I am still beyond obsessed. And now THIS. I mean, come on! Lin Manuel is a genius and my future friend (#goal)
Beauty Buys! I love beauty products…there is something about the small packaging, the smells, and most importantly the way it makes me look and feel. One simple product can change everything! So here are the top 5 beauty products I am currently loving!
I can’t believe how quickly the year has flown by. I am not sure if it is age, but time moves more quickly than 60 minutes per hour….and so here we are in MARCH and Spring Break is right around the corner (#GodBless). Here is a simple and easy list of what I am currently loving.
1. Jonas Blue’s Remix of Fast Car
My kids are so sick of me listening to this song because I play it for them at least two dozen times a day. NOT KIDDING. I also have randomly sent out the link to friends telling them to listen to it. I can’t get enough of the beat, the song, the nostalgia of Tracy Chapman.
Of the 2 million views, I think I have listened to it over 500,000 times. NO JOKE. Last week, I ran 6 miles with this song on repeat. (#OCD)
Here we are with Winter Break around the corner (SAY WHHHHHAAAT!!!??) and so here is a round-up of what currently makes me smile, laugh, and blush with love and affection. Like a cuddle or a kiss, this is what I am currently loving (almost as much as a big smooch and embrace from my loved ones)! Enjoy!
On repeat. On you-tube. On my computer. Not the best sound system, but this hit will make you dance and dance and DANCE!
June, here we are! Love the summer, love the sunshine, love the following random assortment of goodies:
Home grown peonies, AHHHHHHH…..
Spring is officially here! And although I have spent the entire winter moaning and groaning about the cold, I now have about 15 minutes of non-complaints before I start with the dissing and hating NYC weather once the humidity and heat start….which knowing New York could happen any minute! On top of loving Spring, here are other things that I am currently loving!
Frozen custard.
Now that it is almost the marathon GULP SWEAT FREAK OUT PANIC WHAT OH WHAT AM I DOING (I leave on Thursday night for the marathon), I have been carbo loading every single day, which means eating pints upon pints of ice cream. And once you try Ample Hills Ice Cream, you just can’t go back to eating plain old regular ice cream. This stuff is the real stuff. Click here for my full post.
Almost February (and there’s a blizzard coming…. SAY WHATTTTTT?), here is what I am currently loving (other than my husband, kids, parents, siblings, friends, sunny warm weather, cheese, chocolate, peanut butter, granola, and television):
This brush is a miracle worker. It allows you to brush your hair (and your kids’ hair) when the hair is wet (or dry) without tear! It detangles the hair quicker and more easily than any other brush around. Cheap and effective.
The “wet” brush
Here are my August loves! Take a look!
gon-DO-la or gond-uh-la? Who else is with me on pronouncing the “O”
Happy belated Mother’s Day! I am loving SO much right now. My family, my mothers, my kids, my husband, and….the following 5 things.
BOOYAH Spring Break is here! Although less exciting now (since I just tutor and am not a practicing teacher), it still means I get a little vacation and time away from NYC. Here is a list of items that I am currently loving (similar to earlier this year).
Strut.
