Things to do this Sept / Oct

I know school just started, but man, how is it already mid month??? Here is a list of things I want to do in the next couple of weeks!

1. Visit Picasso in Fontainebleu at the MoMa

I love going to museums — especially when it is just for one exhibit and then leave. I am excited for this exhibit which comes at the start of October.

2. See Manet / Degas at the Met

A friend saw this in Paris this past summer and said it was one of the best exhibits she has seen. I can’t wait to go — end of this month!

3. Eat at the Golden Steamer

I have heard great things about this chinese bakery, and it just opened up another location, so will definitely be checking it out! Steamed buns! Moon cakes!

4. Watch Jaja’s African Hair Braiding on Broadway

I love everything that Manhattan Theatre Club puts on, and this is looks great. I hope to go during the time it is on Broadway!

5. Read a book

This list looks great — I really, really need to get back on track and start reading more! I want to — I just need to focus more!

6. Make something at the Brooklyn Craft Company

There is a HUGE list of different types of classes, and I cannot wait to try one out!

7. Relax at the World Spa

This place looks unbelievable. I want to go STAT.

8. Watch Taylor Swift Eras Tour Movie

I mean, who is NOT excited for this?????

Fall 2021 To Do

Here we are — Fall 2021! There is always so much to do in Fall — the start of school, the shift in weather — and here is a list of everything and anything that I want to do!

1. Eat at Thai Diner

Thai Diner is exactly what it sounds — a diner that is influenced by Thai food. Recommended by a friend I always trust, this downtown restaurant is a Thai Love Letter to the classic American diner. It gets rave reviews and the dishes look incredibly interesting and delicious. I can’t wait to try it out.

Natori Odessa PJ Set

Nothing says pajama party more than luxurious silky pajamas! So last week when a friend was visiting from out of town, she received a pair of Natori Odessa PJs to hang out in. They are bold, jewel toned colors and oh so pretty.

Look at her! So chic and glamorous walking the puppy in these glamorous Odessa pajamas! And of course, she’s the most fashionable person ever, so that helps, too.

Madewell Rainbooties

Although it is currently glorious and spectacularly perfect Fall weather in NYC, I know that soon enough, it will be raining and snowing and freezing cold…..and since I am a planner and like to be prepared for Plan A, B, and C (yes, I am OCD) , I bought rain booties for those future rainy days. And I love them so much that I kinda (sorta) want to wear them on non rainy days! They are the perfect Chelsea bootie look, but rubbery and waterproof. Madewell made (them) well! Check out these Madewell rainbooties!

Cute, riiiight?

To Do Fall 2019

SUMMER DON’T GO, but since you are, in fact, *gasp* gone, here is what I want to do this Fall…some repeats to last year, but as a lover of lists (and planning), I like setting goals for the season. Here they are:

1. Be more current and attend more live concerts.

Live concerts….so much fun to go to. And I don’t go often enough.  We are going to see O.A.R. in Port Chester in November, but otherwise need to get live music on our calendar.

2. See more theatre.

NYC Fall To Do List 2017

HERE I GO AGAIN….another list, another set of goals…..

1. Go to a new restaurant each month.

We are spoiled in NYC with access to the best food and restaurants in the world. And yet, Ken and I have the tendency to go to the same three (who am I kidding, ONE) restaurant. So I want to make more of an effort and take advantage of all the great food around us.

There are over 850,000 (Thanks, Alexis) restaurants in NYC! So many types, cuisines, atmospheres, and experiences to try.

NYC Fall To Do List 2016

So far, Fall has whooped my butt. I feel like I am always behind (like writing the weeks’ blog posts) and I can’t keep up. I know that everything is temporary, but right now, it is like 0 for me vs. 100 for everything else. So why not add on to how behind I am by creating a Fall wish list of activities for me to do :).   Here it is:

Start to school has kicked my bootie, but also the kids. This picture is of Toosh in the middle of the morning, who decided she was just going to rest instead of doing anything else. #Jealous

Josie Fall 2012 Favorites

I will be the first to admit that I am not that cute when I come home from work and put on my lounge wear for the evening. This is what I look like:

not cute

Pretend you didn't see this picture!! This is the real truth on what I look like at night time! And yes, I look tired because I *AM* tired.

I know, I know, I know. I LOOK RIDICULOUS! THE POLAR OPPOSITE FROM CUTE! Everything about my look is just a huge faux pas, but I can’t help myself! I am just too tired and too worn out to put any thought into my lounge wear choices!

So Josie lounge wear to the rescue!
