Fall 2021 To Do

Here we are — Fall 2021! There is always so much to do in Fall — the start of school, the shift in weather — and here is a list of everything and anything that I want to do!

1. Eat at Thai Diner

Thai Diner is exactly what it sounds — a diner that is influenced by Thai food. Recommended by a friend I always trust, this downtown restaurant is a Thai Love Letter to the classic American diner. It gets rave reviews and the dishes look incredibly interesting and delicious. I can’t wait to try it out.

2. Go to a newly reopened Broadway show

Many Broadway shows are reopening after 1.5 years of being shut down. I can’t wait to attend (which one?) and help support one of the parts I love most about NYC.

3. See the rainbow colors of the trees

Although going outside of the city to see the Fall Foliage is the best, it is almost as nice just to walk around Central Park and see the beautiful colors and changes of the season.

4. Ride on The Beast

I haven’t taken a spin on this speed boat in several years — but it is fun and the kids love it — so before it gets too cold, I hope to take a spin on this boat!

5. Visit the Van Gogh Immersive Experience

I experienced this in Paris in summer 2019, and I can’t wait to visit the NYC version this fall. It is a cultural activity but a totally different experience. Worth the hype.

6. Bike to The Cloisters

The last time I visited The Cloisters was on a school field trip with my son. This hidden gym on the Upper West Side is a must — especially if you can make it into exercise AND a cultural event. Ride a bike AND visit the museum.

7. Drink Champagne on a Rooftop

I think this is pretty self explanatory — drink champagne? on a rooftop? in the fall? Sign me up!

8. Eat at new restaurants

I am a creature of habit and tend to eat the same thing and go to the same restaurants — but I need to branch out. So I really want to try more new restaurants and think outside of the box more frequently.

9. Dance to Live Music

It’s been so long since I have gone to a show — and man, I can’t wait till I get to go to one again! Who what where do I go?

10. Run Marathons

I am signed up for the Chicago Marathon in October and the NYC marathon in November. I am undecided if I am going to do both — but either way, I will be watching on the sidelines of the NYC marathon — my favorite day in the city.

What are you looking forward to this Fall? Any restaurant music museum activity recommendation? Do send — thank you!
