Suzie Kondi x One of Twelve

One of my favorite wardrobe staple brands is Suzie Kondi. Not only do I live in her velour sweatpants, but also in her striped tanks and tees. So when she came out with a partnership with One of Twelve, I jumped on the bandwagon. And I am so happy — I love my handwoven bag!!!! One of Twelve, is a women-led initiative helping women in Papua New Guinea through the creation of beautiful, one-of-a-kind Bilums — handwoven bags made using twisting and looping without knots (I want to learn how to do this!)

They are one of a kind bags — all of them are so cool that I couldn’t decide on which one to get.

Royal Native Pouch

I can’t get enough of African prints — especially my shorts, pants, and overalls made by Royal Native. Although I have been thoroughly obsessed with African wax prints since late 1990s when I studied abroad in college in Cameroon, my love has become even more pronounced since I found Royal Native. Her clothing is a modern look made with the African print and it is truly perfection. Not exaggerating at all, I own 6 shorts, 3 overalls, and 5 pairs of her pants….and I want more. They are that good. AND NOW, I am a proud owner of a pouch. I am using it for everything and even a night time clutch! Versatile, practical, beautiful, and easy.

Look at it! Doesn’t it scream HAPPY????

Leatherology

Like most women, I love handbags. But today they are super expensive and a big financial commitment. So I was incredibly happy to find fun, colorful, personable and reasonably priced bags at Leatherology. Leatherology is a direct to consumer website that has dozens of handbag styles, colors, and options. They also monogram! Since it is summer and I always love a pop of color, I decided I NEEDED a bright hot pink cross body bag with my initials. Ever since I got it, I have been wearing it nonstop.

HOW CUTE AND FUN IS THIS BAG? I love the brightness and it just makes me oh so happy.

Minor History Clutch

Greetings from Paris!  More to come after I recover, but I ran the Paris Marathon again yesterday – as beautiful and rewarding as ever.  Excited to share pics and the experience (different than the past ones here, here and here) later this week.  But for now….

One of my absolute favorite recent presents is a clutch / carry-everything-holder from Minor History. It literally holds everything and is the perfect size, color, and leather texture. A perfect small bag!

Flat like an envelope.

This roomy zipper clutch is the perfect addition to my bag wardrobe. And it is also a great gift!  Au revoir..

Wayuu Bags

On our Paris-Versary trip in June, my mother-in-law bought a bag for my 2 year-old daughter. It is the cutest, most colorful and fun little bag for a little girl. But it made me obsessed with finding an adult version of the same bag. So, I went on a mad woman hunt to find a different store with the same grown up version. Finally, after dragging my husband from store to store, I came across a bag very similar to my daughter’s…. And I knew I had to buy it right then and there.

Josie Baggu Giveaway

Giveaway, giveaway, giveaway!  Details below, but first, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I must say, that it was pretty uneventful on my part. Not much BBQing or chugging beer over here in Oregon with two little kids and Ken in New York. That said, it was simple and sweet.

We went to the playground in the afternoon -- with sprinkles and watering holes. AH-MAZING.
