Ice cream cakes!
Ingredients:
* Ice Cream Sandwiches
* Whipped Cream
* Toppings (oreos, heath bar, chocolate covered almonds, coconut, you name it!)
Finished product. Drooling yet?
Directions:
Whip the cream. You can also use a can of whip cream, but it tastes that much better with the real stuff.
Put a little sugar in it — powdered is the smoothest.
Banana loaf — this silicone loaf pan helps you cram more sandwiches in as it is flexible.
Line it with parchment paper.
Topping of the day.
Whole Foods makes its own organic line of sandwiches. What would we do without WF?
Crush the toppings with a baseball bat (or another tool of choice)
Place the first layer of sandwiches on the bottom of the sheet.
Second layer — whipped cream.
3rd layer: more sandwiches.
4th layer: cream. GET THE IDEA?
Final layer: toppings. THEN YOU PUT IT IN THE FREEZER FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
After it is frozen, remove it from the loaf pan and parchment paper.
The top.
Two cakes – the other one is a mint ice cream cake made with mint ice cream sandwiches and mint extract in the whipped cream. Holy cow, deliciousness. Holy cow and not skinny cow.
10 slices later, still going strong.
Aren’t you so excited to make these this weekend? Ice Cream coma here we come.
