My New Favorite Podcasts

A New Year and a new commitment to listen to more podcasts instead of music. I love music and therefore listen to it on every run, workout, errand, subway ride, basically anytime I am in the house or walking somewhere out of the house. And although I love this, I also want to become smarter and interested in other things. Several years ago, I was a dedicated podcast listener, but then, I fell off. So now, it is time to get back on the podcast train! Here is a list of my go-to-podcasts as well as ones I want to start listening to more frequently.

1. Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations

Every person Oprah interviews, no matter if I am interested or not, I leave feeling smarter and more informed. Yes, everything Oprah touches is gold to me, but this podcast is my ultimate favorite.

2. Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard

Dax is real, honest, messy and funny. He interviews a range of celebrities from actors to writers to scientists. Easy to listen to, informative yet playful. A must.

3. How I Built This With Guy Raz

Guy Raz dives into the some of the biggest companies’ back stories and how they were founded. Fascinating, inspiring and motivating!

4. The Daily

I have some friends (and husband) who listen to this podcast every morning first thing. Twenty minutes a day, five days a week, it is a great way to get information about current events….definitely something I need to listen to in order to stay more on top of world news!

5. Rich Roll

A wellness and fitness podcast led by Rich Roll — an ultra athlete immersed in heath, fitness and wellness.

  1. Oprah Super Soul Sunday Podcast has the same effect on me. I recommend her book too. A page on every Sunday is the perfect start to my morning.
