We safely arrived yesterday in Oregon where we will spend the next week lounging, eating, skiing, reading, and laughing with my parents, also known as Nana and Tata. (I wrote that sentence before our flight. We are here missing a bag and had to drive four hours through the mountains because we missed our connecting flight and they couldn’t guarantee us on another flight until Tuesday. So we are flustered, but yes, still safe!) We are all so happy to be with them and to celebrate the holidays. As Ken’s parents just left for the Philippines to be with Ken’s grandmother, we had a “pretend Christmas” (as Cruzzie said) at the end of last week at the Natoris. Here are Christmas posts from 2012 and 2011, and now CURRENT shots of the Natori Srs apartment from this year! Enjoy!
White Winter Wonderland! Last year, the decor was pink, this year, ALL WHITE.
More white. All the garland was actual, real life branches and pines, with white paint on it. Very fancy.
White and gold, sparkly, vibrant, energetic, and oh-so-different tree!
Dining room table, all set up to eat!
White wreath with lights.
Nothing but the finest!
More white!!! BIG white!
Why hello there Santa! Cruzzie loved this Santa (first time in 3 years), and I must say, that he was friendly (and not scary, like the others). I wanted to tell him what I wanted for Christmas!
Family of 4. Prom photo in front of tree.
The Natoris. It is officially impossible to take a good picture of 6 people. Don’t look too closely at all our facial expressions.
Yeehaw!!! One of Cruzzie’s presents from “Santa” was a full on Cowboy outfit — with real leather vest and chaps, and a hat. So freaking adorable, I must say.
Lola Natori with little princess, Toosh! Zoe was petrified of Santa, and wanted to be held the entire time. Here she is opening up an incredibly beautiful tutu (my dream outfit for myself, actually!)
Officially a prom shot. But I love it. My husband is guapo.
Me and my beautiful sister, Galen. She is moving tomorrow to Oregon from NYC. But we are not talking about it right now or I will start to cry. I have sobbed enough over the past month….It has been so wonderful having her live in NYC for the past 3 years….we will miss her dearly but will see her in the summers in Oregon.
Auntie Galen, Uncle Carl, and Big Boy Cowboy Cruzzie.
Dinner! Delicious, of course. The appetizer was a goat cheese souffle and some quince.
Fish en papillote.
TADA here is the fish.
People eating and laughing away.
The dessert — some type of delicious concoction of chocolate, marshmallow, and cake.
Cookies (on a lacquer tray from the Natori Home accents collection).
Thumprint cookies that were super teeny and tiny, and oh-so-intricate.
So happy. Little snowman and tree.
3D cookies! Check out the nose!
Carl (Galen’s boyfriend), Galen, and me
Merry Christmas! HO HO HO YEEHAW YEEHAW YEEHAW!
Hope everyone has a great Holiday week! I will continue posting the next two weeks, because, well, WHY NOT? Have a great Monday! Lots of xoxo.
