American Trench Retro Socks

Twice in the past week, I have bought from my targeted instagram ads. Yes, I was that person that actually clicked on the ad, and sure enough, I bought it. That said, I love them so much, that I feel like I need to tell you all about them. And yes, they are not cheap, and you can probably find a better deal somewhere else (do share with me when you find good knock offs), but in the meantime, I am loving these American Trench Retro socks.

Retro stripe socks!!! I die over all the colors!

Also, to defend my purchase, I rarely buy socks. The cost per wear is high (meaning, you wear them so much that they are worth the price) and when you find a good sock, you need to stock up!

I bought a lot of them for Cruzzie. All different colors and he is such a fan. He keeps thanking me for them, which means you know they were a good buy.

He says they are very comfortable.

Thank you, instagram, for introducing me to this brand.

Studying for exams in his retro socks.

Love the pop of colors! Love the stripes! Love the fits. Worth the $14 🙂

Opening Ceremony x Pendleton Coat Redone

The night before I gave birth to Cruzzie (10/7/2009), I was shopping online (obvi), and I ordered myself a Pendleton x Opening Ceremony coat. I wore it night and day for years. To the ground! After much love, I became a little tired of the silhouette and pregnancy shape, so I retired it to the hall closet. On a mad search for a jacket this Fall, I stumbled upon my beloved coat. So out it came; but it needed some updated tailoring.

October 2009 -- one week after giving birth. Love the color, pattern (and kiss), but the shape is outdated, boxy and huge.

Josie Wildflower Bralette

‘Tis the season for hot weather clothing! No one wants to wear a wire during hot summer days, so this Josie Wild Flower bralette is the perfect solution.  It’s a non-constricting bra without too much fabric, and adds a pop of color and pizzazz to hot weather layering. It is the perfect blend of sweet and spirited –delicate, whimsical, fun, and colorful!

Surf Bazaar

Now that it finally feels like spring, I am even MORE ready for tank tops, sunglasses, neon, florals, gingham, and flip flops (birkenstocks, too)! After this never-ending east coast winter, I am itching for sun and heat (who isn’t???). Some of my favorite go-to summer looks are the multiple tops from Surf Bazaar.

Surf Bazaar’s clothing is oh-so-summerish. All the clothing looks like vintage beach wear but updated and improved with beautiful natural fabrics and more progressive and flattering silhouettes. Beach heaven in an urban setting!

Easy, soft, light, gauze, flattering, fresh tank.

The fabric is unlined cotton gauze which everything look beachy, sexy, and airy. OR, you can wear a light white camisole underneath for a good layering look.
