The night before I gave birth to Cruzzie (10/7/2009), I was shopping online (obvi), and I ordered myself a Pendleton x Opening Ceremony coat. I wore it night and day for years. To the ground! After much love, I became a little tired of the silhouette and pregnancy shape, so I retired it to the hall closet. On a mad search for a jacket this Fall, I stumbled upon my beloved coat. So out it came; but it needed some updated tailoring.
So, I took it to the neighborhood tailor, and requested a slimmer, more modern fit. And boy oh boy, do I love the final result! Take a look (and don’t mind the awkward model poses! I am not a model, by any means).
The power of a good tailor- it is like a brand new jacket. Hope you are having a great week — do you have any old clothing that you made “new” through tailoring? And don’t you love old school Pendleton?
Great idea! I had my prom dress shortened so that I could re-wear it to a wedding. I loved how it came out and made me feel like the dress was well-worth the money!
I really like that coat rack! & the coat 🙂

I’m glad your husband is still wearing the same stupid hat
I could see next year adding faux leather to collar with matching sleeves!
oooh! Don’t be surprised if you see that in my post next year 🙂
Great coat! I love the shape of it and the back of it is lovely. The print is so different and refreshing. Very autumn 🙂 Hope you get plenty of nice autumn weather to wear it for, ie. that winter doesn’t come too soon!
Thank you! I hope so too!
Love that you didn’t give up on the little coat that could. Pendleton has such timeless prints and this coat will continue to keep you warm for seasons to come!
