Run Fast Cook Fast Eat Slow

My favorite cookbook (Run Fast Eat Slow) now has a sequel and I couldn’t be happier! I am so excited to get back in to the kitchen and cook / bake / create some of the recipes from the new Run Fast Cook Fast Eat Slow.

So excited!! Shalene Flanagan and Elyse Kopecky and their second cookbook! Some of my all time favorite recipes are from their first cookbook, so I am super happy to find new favorites in this one, too.

Shalene is an American Runner (and also cookbook author) who won the New York City Marathon last year in an incredibly emotional and inspiring race. I have always admired her dedication, determination, and natural talent . To top it off, her cookbook is literally my favorite!

I love their eating philosophy too: eat wholesome meals, including meat and fat. Butter, lots of butter. My type of cookbook.

In the last cookbook, the superhero muffins were my go-to. I still make them at least every other week as they are filling, nutritious, wholesome, and oh so delicious.

Yes please.

Three different versions of the superhero muffins — OMG I can’t wait! And don’t you worry — I will write about them if they are as good as I think and hope they are!

Also lots of running shots (she is based in Portland, Oregon, go figure)

Even if you are not a runner (but definitely if you are), this is a great cookbook! I feel like it is Christmas ,orning (yes, I pre-ordered this book and have been waiting months for it to arrive). Have a good weekend!

  1. It’s so important to eat healthy rather than starving yourself. I can’t wait to give this cookbook a go. I’m always looking for new meal ideas!
