Currently Loving September 2025

Sorry for my absence last week — back in New York, back to school (for both me and the kids!), back to figuring out the schedule and the flow. And hardest part — back to waking up so early! but now, I AM BAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKKKKK. Here is what I am currently loving this month.

1. US Open

Yes, the US Open just ended yesterday, but it is my favorite two weeks in the city. And my favorite night is always with my favorite lady, Mrs. Mason. This night is hands down, so fun, and now I get to enjoy it with Tusia who LOVES Mrs. Mason, and LOVES tennis.

2. Tuna Melts

Nothing makes me happier than a tuna melt on an English muffin. Nothing. This one from Viand, hit the spot, and makes me want to go back there TODAY to eat one.

3. Skylines

I love NYC skylines, especially at night. This was last week and I just love looking out over the city and seeing the view.

4. Homemade Bags

I needlepointed this bag a long time ago, and just had it made in to a tote, and it makes me so happy. So UN-NYC and I just love it.

5.  Long Runs

My next marathon is coming up, and so I have been training extra hard the past few months. This past weekend, I did a 20 miler in the humidity and heat, and although I was tired, I did it. So I am loving that sense of accomplishment — it’s the little things, right?

6.  My Son’s Football Team

Randomly, Cruzzie decided to join the football team this year. I love how he is taking the chance and opportunity to learn something new and try something different. Although it is very far away, I can watch his games online, which I did this past Saturday. So much fun to see the friendship, team work, and beautiful setting.

7. Ottolenghi Eggplant Dish

Made this dish over the weekend, and it was a winner. Roasted eggplant with a buttermilk dressing and pomegranates — definitely worth making and eating! And also, I found it so beautiful and appealing to the eyes, too.

8.  Grand Central

True beauty, even with all the craziness of the crazy city.

9. Zara Yellow Top

Thanks to my style guru and wonderful friend (who has started a new incredible business — who owes me a response to my questions so I can promote on the blog! Her new business is incredible), I bought this Zara over-shirt. Ever since I got back to NYC, I have worn it on top of everything. I LOVE IT.

10. My New Piercing

It is different — but I love it — it is the tiny little stud above. I am so happy with it.

  1. Hi. Your needlepoint bag is fabulous. Do you mind sharing who finished it for you? I am always looking for ideas about how to finish my work beyond framing and pillows. So clever.
