I shelled out the big dough and bought another kitchen gadget; and I couldn’t be happier. YUP, a spiralizer. What is a spiralizer (good question, kinda sounds like a pencil sharpener)? It is a device that transforms vegetables into “angel-hair” strands as well as spiral cuts, shoestrings and ribbon “noodles” — amazing, right?

Spiralizer! Even the name sounds spunky and happy! SPIRALIZE!
Sounds like a corny tool sold on late night TV, but trust me, it will transform your life. You can use it on zucchini, carrots, potatoes, apples, and cucumbers and so many more! Why do you need it? To add some spice, color, and variety to your salads and pasta dishes, as well as create new recipes with veggies as the main ingredient.

4 different blades for four different thicknesses.
It is easy to put together, simple to use, and wam bam, you have some ribbon veggies! Here are some good links for recipes to use with your spiralizer; here and here.

Look like a sewing machine. Bobbin, anyone?

BORING squash.

Ready, set, twist, twirl and SPIRALIZE.

The ribbons.

A fresh new look at boring old veggies.

YUM

Dinner is almost ready! Just sautee, season, and eat.

Makes a salad that much more aesthetically appealing.
Am I a good salesperson? Are you going to buy it? It seems like just another thing to add to your kitchen shelves, but I promise you that you will use it. And for those of you already in the know, what are your go-to uses of your veggie ribbons? Have a great weekend!
This does seem like something you would see being sold on late night TV… but one that I want!
A+ for selling skills. This would make the perfect gift for my parents! I would love to try this> http://inspiralized.com/2013/07/11/broccoli-rabe-pasta-with-spicy-italian-sausage-zucchini-noodles/
Why don’t I own one of these already?! How fun. I want to spiralize!
