Pangulasian, El Nido, Palawan

Hands down, the highlight of our 2016 trip to the Philippines was our visit to Pangulasian, El Nido, Palawan. To say the resort, scenery, environment, location, food, service, experience was amazing is an understatement. I will go out on a ledge to say that it was the most beautiful and breathtaking vacation I have ever been on. It was so incredible that I would fly across the world again tomorrow to spend more time there.

To get to the resort, we had to fly from Manila to El Nido, then take a van to a boat. The boat was a tiny speed boat that took 20-30 minutes to get us there. Worth every travel minute to get to this paradise.

Our hotel room was a little cottage for the four of us nestled in the trees right on the beach. Pure heaven.

Our view.

When we were there, we didn't just hang out and lounge. Quite the contrary as the island offers so much natural beauty that we were exploring every free minute. We kayaked (here is Cruzzie and Ken), hiked, went caving, kayaked in the lagoons, went to feed jack fish and MORE.

We went caving (yes in our bathing suits), which was pretty special. Of course, I was the idiot who jumped out of the cave and my head boinked so hard that it still has bruises and thankfully, I am alive (it was that scary).

This is a photograph inside the cave -- the light shining is the entrance into the cave.

We went to Snake Island and walked on the sand bar from island to island.

We took more photos of the family this trip than I have otherwise.

We set a record for most family photos on a trip.

We went to see the big and small lagoon which was out of this world. It rained the whole time, but it didn't matter, the nature was incredible.

The final day we snorkled and saw unbelievable wildlife and sealife -- finding nemo times infiniti.

Thank you, Pangalusian Island. It was the highlight of our trip, December, and travel experiences thus far!
