Candlelight Concerts

Last week, I did something totally out of the ordinary for me — and that is to buy in to an instagram ad (I actually never buy things off of instagram) and get a ticket to a Candlelight Concert. This candlelight concert happens in over 100 cities and depending on the show, it is a fresh spin on a classical music performance — all in the dark with candles. This one in particular spoke to me — 90s hip hop, in my favorite church on the Upper East Side (yes, I love this church — it also has a cafe I used to frequent all the time back in the day).

 

Church of the Heavenly Rest on 89th and 5th Avenue — so beautiful. And at 9 pm when the concert started, felt even more magical and peaceful.

Wary Meyers Candles

I am a sucker for any candle, especially a nice smelling one. When recently shopping, I bought a bunch of new ones, and this one is my favorite. The design is simple and the smell subtle, but refreshing and crisp. Wary Meyers makes these chic, discrete, and beautiful candles. Bonus is that they are under $30 which is always great.

 

I love a simple candle, particularly this transparent and gold combination.

Zara Candle

As mentioned Friday, I have a newfound love for Zara Home. When in Paris a couple of weeks ago, I bought a simple candle that made me happy. Most candles these days seem to cost 40 dollars plus, so when I found this pretty (and beautiful smelling) candle for 17 euros, I knew I had to buy it.
