If you happen to be in NYC and want an adventure, I highly recommend going to Mister Dips, an all-American restaurant that serves (supposedly great hamburgers) and ridiculous soft serve ice cream downtown on South Street Seaport.
We decided to make it an adventure — so we took the East River Ferry that loads at 34th Street (and the East River) and then got off at Wall Street. It was an extremely hot and humid day in the city, so the 15 minutes on the boat felt marvelous. Highly recommend doing just the boat trip!
At Pier 17, they have a beautiful stainglassed house that was pretty to look at.

And the highlight was the soft serve ice cream at Mister Dips at South Street Seaport. Cruzzie got the cookie monster — vanilla with a cookie crust.
Toosh just got the chocolate soft serve and loved every single bite.
In general, Pier 17 has changed drastically and is a beautiful place to grab food or just sit on the dock and watch the boats and feel the breeze on the East River!
