Little Island

Last Friday, Little Island, New York’s newest Park opened up to the public. It was received with excitement, buzz, and energy. I had the opportunity to run down there and see it on opening day and it did not disappoint. It is unusual, beautiful, and a great green space.

This park, Little Island, is funded primarily by The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation. It is a great addition to the Hudson River on Manhattan’s West Side, and is interesting to visit as a walk, or more of a destination to sit and hang out.

Looks like Jetsons. Truly one of a kind.

Perched in the middle of the Hudson River.

Inside there are parks, a food truck, amphitheater, views of the city, people watching, and so much to look at.

Umbrellas, people, sunshine! There was such a buzz and people were so excited to come and see this new addition to the city. NYC is alive!

Grassy field.

So cool, a must visit.

If you are in NYC, you must visit. And if you visit NYC, you must also visit! And if you don’t live in NYC, put it on your list of activities to do when you DO visit!
