I love dessert. Almost as much as I love my family. But I don’t like to eat too much sugar because I get jittery, emotional, and always have a sugar crash. So, when I don’t have time to bake my own health(ier) dessert, than I go to my local stores to purchase healthy-ish desserts. Here they are:
Yes, they are packaged food and store bought. But I like to think that they are healthier than a snickers bar, and made with higher quality ingredients in a more thoughtful process. But yes, you are so right, it is always HEALTHIER and better to make your own food at home, where you know exactly what is going into the food. But, YOLO (you only live once), so sometimes it is nice to just grab and go.
Juice Press Raw Oatmeal
A staple of mine, made with cashews, oats, dates, coconut oil, vanilla. Heavy and dense, but smooth and delicious. I like to eat a spoonful as my dessert, or for my breakfast after a long run.
The mini package is the right size. Mind you, I could eat ten of these in one sitting, but that would be less healthy-ish, and definitely overly indulgent.
Klossies Kookies
Klossies. I love Karlie Kloss. I love Klossies. I love everything about them. Refined sugar free, gluten free.
5boro is my top favorite, with Perfect 10 as a close second. This one is sweetened with pineapple juice — get outta town, right?
Hu Kitchen Crack Bar
Yes, this is a crack bar and once you start, you can’t stop. It is unbelievable. I have tried to recreate it in the kitchen, but it just isn’t the same. I put it in the fridge and eat chunks of it over the week. (Yes, too much information).
The side view. I want one now looking at the photo.
I am not sure if I eat to run, or run to eat, but in any case, I love dessert. And if you have any secret healthy desserts, send them my way! Hope you have a great Columbus Day weekend!
HU is AMAZING! There is one a few blocks from my apartment and I’m so obsessed with it. More people should try it. Thanks for some healthier recommendations for when I am having a sweet tooth.
OMG yum this all looks amazing! The raw mini oatmeal is also one of my favorite desserts 🙂
