End of August brings up a lot of feelings — the dread of the new season, saying goodbye to summer — all are so hard for me. Trying to live in the present and enjoying the NOW and the CURRENT soooooo…here is what I am loving right this very second.
1. Summer meals

Doesn’t this plate of food just scream SUMMER? Everything was perfect. Fresh. Delicious. Local. Amazing.
2. Hand weaving

Can’t stop won’t stop. Find it so relaxing and loving every minute of it. Now, I need to order even more thread because I have used it all up!
3. QT with kids

Soaking up every second of every day with my kids before they go to school. Not ready. So loving every single second.
4. Evening Walks

Every night in Oregon, we walk the night for sunset. Love this ritual and this time together. Here you can see the moon in the background.
5. Save the Mermaids

My mother put this bumper sticker on the car years ago and it always makes me laugh. Save the Mermaids. Love the random location too (on the side in the front of the car).

This teen drama on Amazon Prime is so good that I can’t wait to watch every episode, yet I don’t want to watch it because I don’t want it to end….(we have 2 episodes left and I am already grieving the end).

Run to the store and get plums now. This was so easy to make and so delicious. Highly highly recommend.
8. NYC Summer Streets

Was in NYC for 2 days last weekend and experienced Summer Streets for the first time in the 22 years living in NYC. And WOW, I loved it. It was so fun to run down Park Avenue and see all the joy, laughter, fitness, and love in the air!
9. Nobu Oysters

In the 2 days that we were there, we went to our favorite restaurants. Of course, we ate at Nobu. And I introduced Tusia to the oysters (she started eating them this summer in Cap Ferret) and they were big hits.

Rose, Tusia, and food Nothing better.

That’s what I am loving now! Hope you are soaking in the final bits of summer and having a great week.
