Dried Peaches

In Oregon, one of my favorite activities is to go to one of the hundreds of farms and pick fruit or veggies. And this past week, we went to a Peach farm — which is one of my favorite U-picks of the season (who doesn’t love peaches?). We collected 16 pounds of peaches — so we kept some fresh to have as snacks, made a peach galette, and dehydrated the rest.

Peaches galore.

The picking crew.

The galette.

Sliced and ready to bake.

Sliced and peeled peaches put on racks to dehydrate in the oven.

This process takes hours HOURS HOURS because you have to heat them at a low temperature forever.

But afterwards, they are like natural candy Or naturally dried peaches.

and they taste INCREDIBLE.

Highly recommend trying to dehydrate peaches! So delicious (and do you have any other peach recipes you recommend? Will go another time to pick more peaches!)
