YUMMMMMMM. One of my family’s favorite food items is chocolate croissants — I mean, WHO doesn’t love chocolate croissants??? So when in the Flatiron area of Manhattan last Friday, I fell upon not one, but two, different bakeries, that were so beautiful and scrumptious, that I had to get something at each. First off….

The store looked like a museum. On the ground floor, there was a sit down cafe, and to order take out, you walked up the stairs to where the baked goods were all displayed and where you placed the order. Even the bags are beyond chic and beautiful.

So much to choose from — and beyond beautiful. Art works! Lycée is inspired by the chef’s influence of French, Korean and New York City.

Look how puffy and delicious this looks!

Not too big, not too small, just right.

Chocolate EVERYWHERE

Nearby, Salswee is also a beautiful bakery. Similarly, their intention is to make food not only delicious, but also beautiful, and that it is. Each tart / cake / sweet looked like an incredible piece of art.

Fun and different.

Flat iron Chocolate Croissant.
Both are a MUST try — but as someone who loves big and puffy, I preferred the Lycée Chocolate Croissant — but definitely check out both!
