This past weekend, the family went on an adventure to Red Hook (Brooklyn) to satisfy my craving for a lobster roll (not pregnant, just hungry). AND HOT DAMN, this lobster roll did not disappoint. Unbelievably delicious. KNOCK OUT GOOD.
Red Hook Lobster Pound, whassup! I have read about this place for years, and I am so glad that we finally made the trek to Red Hook eat there. The irony is that we have probably spent more time in Red Hook than any other couple that lives in Manhattan, as we used to shop at Fairway and go to Baked (bakery) every weekend (until kid #2 made it more difficult). But this was our first visit to the Lobster Pound.
Everything about the restaurant and food was great — high quality lobster; fun, casual environment; affordable; creative options; complete and utter deliciousness!
To see the menu, go here. And Manhattanites, get excited as they opened up a Manhattan outpost this past Tuesday! Hip Hip Hooray! Have a great weekend everyone….I am in Paris running the marathon again this Sunday, so wish me luck. I need all the positive thoughts I can get!
Love Red Hook. Love the Lobster Pound. Glad the neighborhood continues to recover from Sandy. BK!
Can’t wait to go back!
i am a lobster roll snob. I like these slightly better than ed’s in manhattan, but both are great.
These ones are amazing — and you have three options, which I love!
They have a Lobster Roll truck as well. People line up around the block to get those lobster rolls!
I can’t wait to eat more of these.
