Virtual Cooking Classes

For the past several months, I have been taking virtual private cooking classes and they have changed. my. life. Through a kids’ cooking program, I became acquainted with Kate and loved her so much that I poached her from the program, and hired her to teach me how to cook. It has been absolutely incredible. Not only do I work with her on a weekly basis, but she does classes with both my kids — for special occasions here and there and in the past on a weekly basis. Kate offers cooking classes and baking classes and they are ABSOLUTELY incredible.

This is Kate. SHE IS AMAZING. Personable, super friendly, knowledgeable, patient, funny. I love her. If she lived in NYC, she would be my friend.

Kate just launched her own website, Homecooked Virtual Culinary School, and now offers virtual classes for multiple people at a time. The classes are so fun, the food is delicious, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable (not NYC prices). I have thoroughly enjoyed telling her what type of food I like, having Kate come up with the recipes, and then in 90 minutes, cooking a whole meal for the entire family.

Tacos. One week we made: blackened fish tacos, pickled onions, a crema, and a cabbage salad. All in 90 minutes.

Her new classes work that you sign up for the day that they are offered, pay, and she sends the virtual class an ingredient list. You click on the zoom meeting during the time, and you watch and cook at the same time.

So many classes to choose from! I want to take them all!

Of course she also does private classes, or even parties, which are fun, too. They are more expensive, but absolutely worth it. To contact her: go here.  Check out her instagram here. Kate is a gem — and I feel so fortunate to have found her. I love her personality, her classes, and the food we make. Kate and her classes have brought me so much joy in this pandemic and I hope you sign up for one of her zoom group classes or hire her for a private class!
