Every first Monday in June, I attend the CFDA Awards with my mother-in-law. It is a fun evening of wild fashion, mega celebrities, and creative fashion designers. Although no one cares about a stay-at-home-mom-math-tutor-lady, I thoroughly enjoy people watching and taking in all the fashion. Here are pictures of last night’s event! And to see all the professional shots of the evening, go here.
Getting ready is no joke! But of course, as it is the end of the year, I still have massive amounts of tutoring and family obligations to attend to….so I had my hair done in my tutoring session.
Final product. Ever since I realized I could get my hair in a braid for an event (versus a beach wave blow out), I feel more like myself when I get dressed up. Wearing my hair done doesn’t feel like myself, so I much more enjoy wearing it in a braid and still having ME in my fancy attire.
1/2 Hunger Games, 1/2 Star Wars.
Of course, when my mother-in-law came to get me, I was still tutoring and not yet dressed…..so talk about a tight turn around! WAM BAM and there I was…..
I couldn’t take pictures of all the celebrities because they were literally everywhere I turned, but Valentino beside me was a pretty good one.
One of my favorite instagram personalities is Eva Chen, so we went up to her and she started showing us her bra because she said she loves Natori and wears it everyday. Gotta love the Feathers Bra!
Here I am pictured with our good friend (beautiful and boobalicious, Sapna) whose husband, Guido, runs Cosabella. A competitor of Natori but still a very good friend.
My dinner date — Eddie Roche — the editor of The Daily Front Row. I loved talking with Eddie and he was super nice and funny.
A fun late Monday night! Hope you have a great week — school is ending soon for the kids and SUMMER is in the air!
