As a kid, I made my own personalized designed plates. I have such fond memories of drawing them with my brother and our friends. Even now during the summers, my parents pull out those same plates so our kids can use them.

1986.

My artistic skills haven’t improved since.

Another one from when I was 7 years old.

For whatever reason, I also ,ade these plates when I was 17. #QueenNerd.
This past summer, I decided to have the kids make their own plates just like I did when I was young. Lo and behold, it was the SAME company. You order the kit on amazon, then you draw with washable markers on the paper provided. Then you mail everything to the company and wait 4-6 weeks. We now eat on them every night and couldn’t be happier.

Cruzzie loves birds. This is a specific type of bird that he knows the name of but that I forget.

Tusia is extremely artistic and loves drawing flowers and rainbows. Maybe these plates will help her get into NYC kindergarten? (#NotJoking)

Cruzzie also loves planes.

More flowers.
I am excited to have these plates for their lifetime (just like my parents have had mine for my lifetime — thank you). The plates also make great personalized presents to grandparents or cousins or friends! It is also a great art project for the kids.
These are adorable! Love that you are keeping the tradition going. Also Tusia’s flowers are on point.

I used to make plates when I was little too! Such a fun craft idea!
