Hats are like workout clothes: they can be difficult to buy because they seem so damn expensive, but then you end up wearing them EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So it is worth it in the end. Also, you want nice looking hats (and workout clothes, too) as there is nothing worse than a bad hat in grey cold weather. Eugenia Kim hats are my splurge.
Eugenia Kim launched her namesake hat line in the early 2000s, and won a CFDA award for Accessories Design (2004). She is known for her innovative wovens and inventive, quirky felts and straws trimmed with vintage ribbons and feathers. Her hats and head accessories are sold at Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks, net-a-porter, shop bop, Zappos, as well as 200 smaller boutiques. DAMN girl. But of course, she has her own e-commerce site, so go there! Straight to the source!
And what do you know? Eugenia Kim is having a sample sale in NYC that started yesterday! HOLLA! It runs through this Friday (December 14th) from 10 am to 7 pm. There will be hats and accessories from the fall/winter collection for up to 70% off! I will be there later today! 347 West 36th street between 7th and 8th avenue.
Hope to see you at the Sample sale! And don’t forget the Natori Sample Sale is going on as well. 10-4 at 102 Madison Avenue, 3rd Floor… last day is Thursday the 13th. I will be there Thursday morning. Have a great rest of the week!
Thanks for the scoop! Will try to get there today. Very unique shape on the hats. LOVE!
LOVE too.
I love the hats, but the logo is a little weird/scary
HA — couldnt agree more.
Natori sample sale too! Too much to do!
OF COURSE HOW COULD I FORGET?!?!?!
Love the hats – but I just can’t, in good conscience, wear anything with fur! The Felix hats are adorable!
true true, good point!
