Music is key for my daily workout. I need to be inspired to run/push/pedal/row faster. And nothing motivates me more than a good tune or jam. Once a month, I log on to itunes, go to “Top Singles” and press away….ending up spending too much money on too many songs to create a new playlist. But let me tell you, it is worth every $1.29 per song….hours of fun for me. And then the music and the beats soak into my bones and free my muscles and joints to work harder. I swear.
(Don’t judge me by my music taste. No, I don’t like Dave Matthews Band, but I do love some pop in my life. Like a lot of teeny bopper pop. But who doesn’t????)

Great picks! I’m training for a marathon right now and my fave running songs of the moment are “genesis” by grimes, “girls like you” by the naked and famous, “cannibal resource” by the dirty projectors, and “my racing thoughts” by jack’s mannequin. Check ’em out!
