Los Angeles Weekend 2026

My son’s spring break overlapped only for a hot minute with some friends from New York City — so he was fortunate enough to be a part of their ski trip to Alta, Utah. In order to end up in California (where he goes to school), we thought since already more than halfway in Utah, I met him in LA for the weekend. A friend (whose son was also on the trip) joined and we stayed at HER friend’s house. AND HOLY SMOKES, this wasn’t just any house, but the most epic house you have ever seen. Not only that, but our hosts were the most incredibly thoughtful, generous, welcoming, wonderful people you have ever met — she got us all gifts! Literally, gifts for all of us! And more, just had the best personality and attitude. Their house was featured in Arch Digest in 2024 — to see it all, go here (trust me, it is worth checking out).

Drinks at the Hotel Bel Air — loved everything about this place.

Have you ever seen a more LA sky? Cotton candy with palm trees?

Such a california lunch — and of course, on Hermes plates. Dreaming of all these dips and the kale white bean salad.

I love how EVERYWHERE there were murals for Kanye.

Pool time — but never enough time.

Eating outside — so glorious — the temperatures were actually SUPER hot, and in the 90s.

The patio had beer on tap — can you believe that?

The view — unbelievably.

One of my favorite rooms — the pink.

The movie room.

The candy snack room headed to the movie room.

The cold plunge and sauna connected to the gym.

Some crazy art. I am sure it is well known and famous, but I just wanted to lie down on it like a couch.

The room we spent the most time in.

The table had roller-skates!!!!

The team LA Spring Break 2026.

Drove to Manhattan Beach to wander, have beach time, eat delicious sea food, and watch a volleyball tournament.

Our incredible host, Brittany, in the middle.

California Poppies. My favorite.

Made me laugh.

My boy.

Love everything about California.

We also went to the Lakers game.

Which was SOOOOOO fun. Who knew I loved basketball so much?

So fun.

So happy.

We also toured UCLA.

And saw Jay-Z’s house, too.

And now…back to NYC with rain, cold, reality, and no beer on tap. Such an incredible and fun weekend.
