Cinnamon Roll Crawl

(Sorry for the silence last week — I fainted last weekend, hurt my head, and was dealing with that for most of the week. I rested a lot, and tried to not be on screens — hence my absence. But I am back!) For whatever reason, I decided that this weekend, I needed to do a self-guided Cinnamon Roll Crawl. I spent a lot of time (once my headaches disappeared) researching the best cinnamon rolls in the city and my plan to do it.

For whatever reason, I decided that the best way to get there was to RUN! So I ran along the West Side Highway to get downtown (because of course, the best bakeries are downtown).

Hani’s was the first stop — it was incredible. No big line, friendly service, easy and delicious cinnamon roll.

Then, I wanted to go to Librae Bakery (which I had the most incredible sweet pistachio croissant during my half marathon bakery tour) — but the line was INSANE. SOOOOOO, I continued on to my third stop which was Sunday Morning — and that line was the most bonkers line I have ever seen. It would have taken me 2 hours to stand in it and I was cold and sweaty, so I sadly called it a day.

But of course, that didn’t stop me!!!!!

Four different types of Cinnamon Rolls! I went to Cinnaholic, Spirals, and Petit Chou/ Yes a lot of types, yes a lot of sugar. YES A LOT OF FUN!

Happy with the taste test!

Cinnaholic.

Hands down the favorite was from Petit Chou.

Yes, I overdosed on cinnamon rolls, but I am still determined to try Sunday Morning cinnamon rolls — they look unbelievable. And I highly suggest this type of crawl and self guided fun. Love a good scavenger hunt!
