I do not have a green thumb. Actually quite the opposite, as every plant I ever get dies within a month or two. I love orchids, but I always gets sad when they wilt away, become flowerless, and end up turning into a big, depressing, bleak twig. So I was terribly happy (is that an oxymoron?) when I found handmade paper flowers from The Green Vase, when wandering around one of my favorite stores: John Derian. The paper flowers are the perfect blend of color, aliveness, nature, and happiness. Although not real, they are far from run-of-the mill artificial plastic flowers, and give a sense of daintiness and lightness to a room. And most importantly, you don’t have to worry about watering them (or killing them).

So many pretty flowers to choose from.

So delicate and beautiful.

Love.

Purple branch that looks completely real!

Up close — look at the craftsmanship at this handmade beauty.

The branch’s temporary home, keeping the TV company.

Some love for the bed side table.

Inside the flower. I am surprised that there is not a bumble bee flying around it.

Pop of color.

Even smells fragrant. (not really)
To purchase the flowers, go here. They are a great alternative to a live plant and add life and energy to any room. I hope everyone has a great week — Fall is here!
The one on your windowsill is beautiful.. they’re really made of paper?
PAPER!
I love the “love” vase. Where is it from?
stay tuned for a feature post on it!
