Currently Loving October 2016

Can’t believe it’s the beginning of October! Here is what I am currently loving.

1.  Starboy by The Weekend and Daft Punk

I can't help my tween music taste, but really, The Weekend and Daft Punk together is the best duo ever. Kinda like if Coldplay were to jam out with Justin Bieber, I might die out of happiness. This song is everything. And helps me move.

2.  This Is Us

I was a devoted Parenthood viewer and cried every week when watching the show....there was something so powerful and true in it, that just resonated with me. And now, it is like NBC knew that I WAS MISSING something, so they created this show. Thank you, NBC, my TV life just dramatically improved.

3. Dreaming of Summer

I realize that most people LOVE the foliage, the colors, the hot apple cider, the sweaters, the fires, and so on....and although nice, I just miss the West Coast and summer.

4. Healthy Deodorant

I am constantly on a quest to find the best "healthy' deodorant, with no chemicals or parabens or anything BAD. And this is a good find that doesn't sting, burn, or smell bad. So, so far, it is good.

5. Mama Loves Organic Oils

To be truthful, the packaging is what sold me -- I love babushkas -- but then the actual product made me buy it. Essential oils that make my worries go away? Yes please! Does it also speed up a renovation?

6. This cute little video. And its message. Now, I just GOTTA DO IT DAMNIT.

Maybe it would work TWO FOLD if I applied the Mama Love essential oils AND then meditated 5-10 minutes daily?

7. Read aloud chapter books for the kids

This past weekend, we were in the country and visited a remarkable bookstore. I could spend all day rummaging and sorting through one, especially when the employees are so knowledgeable and insightful. I asked for referrals of chapter books to read to both kids, and 30 minutes later, I walked out of there with 12 books and so many ideas. They gave me so many great options and were so enthusiastic about each of their selections. This is our first book we started that they recommended, and already, we are loving it.

8. Nachos

  1. I’m always obsessed with your “Currently Loving” posts. In desperate need of some of that Mama Love oil.

  2. I’m such a huge fan of The Weeknd. Was supposed to see him at The Meadows Music and Arts festival this weekend in Queens and he had a last minute cancellation. I was sooooo bummed. But his new song with Daft Punk is incredible!
