My Sister’s Bridal Luncheon

Last Friday, my sister Courtney and I hosted a Bridal Luncheon to celebrate our baby sister, Galen, and her upcoming wedding. The lunch took place at Olympia Provisions in Portland. Located in a hip / up and coming industrial area of Northwest Portland, the restaurant (which also is known for its meat sold nation wide) was the perfect venue. The lunch was super special with a great group of girls, delicious food, bubbling sparkling wine,  and a glowing bride-to-be.

Courtney gets an MVP award for flying across the country from New Jersey to attend the luncheon. To make matters worse, she had flight issues and slept in the Denver airport on the floor, arrived that morning of the lunch with no bags and showers (don't ask why she checked her bag for a weekend trip....)

Also, take a look at the beautiful blush dress behind Court on Galen’s friend, Ivy. I love her look.

MEAT. Good thing that I wrote an email to everyone two days before asking if anyone was a vegetarian....luckily, we all eat meat. #NovicePartyPlanner

Before the dessert course, I asked that everyone went around the table and said how they knew Galen and then a story about her. It was super cheesy at the same time as being meaningful, special, and memorable. I, as a guest, loved hearing the stories and why everyone loved Galen. And Galen will remember the hour of stories for her whole life.

A truly special celebration in honor of my baby sister Galen! Looking forward to the September Portlandia wedding and toasting two people I love.
