Christmas Celebration 2015

Hello from (grey and cold) Florida! We had an early Christmas celebration this past Friday night since we were all headed in different directions (Florida then Oregon for us Natori Juniors, the Philippines for the Natori Seniors, and New Jersey for my sister, Courtney). Take a look. And listen to this because it is amazing!

Santa visited us (thankfully, I remembered that he was expected to bring presents to the kids -- so darted out to the closest toy store to get MORE presents for the kids, as we celebrated "Christmas' in the morning as our family of four). This Santa, although wearing latex gloves and a little creepy, was BY FAR the best santa that we have seen compared to years past. No flask, no chain smoker, no creepiness.

20 attempts, and we got this kinda good, kinda crappy picture.

The Natori senior decorations (and selfie). Every year, creative genius and event planner extraordinaire (also our wedding planner) David Monn decorates their house full out chic fancy Christmas style.

This was only HALF of the dessert selection for the few of us to eat. I KNOW, my heaven. But sadly, we couldn’t keep the leftovers as the kids and I left for Florida the very next morning. Ken is coming to meet us in Florida on Wednesday and I asked him to bring us a cake  — he thought that was the most absurd request he had ever heard, I myself, think it would be the best Christmas Miracle EVER. HINT HINT HINT BABERS!

Hands down my favorite dessert on the planet: Lady M Citron Mille Crepes

Now, we are in Florida where we will have a Christmas Eve brunch at The Original Pancake House (where else?), and then fly across the country on Christmas Day to be with my parents and brother for a week. Can’t wait! In the meantime, we are happy to be in semi-warm Florida, relax with some downtime after a crazy chaotic December, and play with the kids and a good friend who is randomly in town with her same-aged daughter. I feel very lucky for this time away from NYC and with my family and friends! Have a great week.

Oh, well hopes dashed —but nice to know they have a citron version, can’t wait to try it – celebrated Chanukah, out here and now on to Christmas…then back to good ol’ NY … us Ny’kers have to enjoy the balmy breezes of Florida while we can — to fortify us through winter!

  4. I love your daughter’s expression in the first photo, great photos to have. What an amazing selection of desserts too! Hope you all had a great time 🙂

  5. LOL her face in that first photo is amazing.

That spread is just…not fair. If I was present I would be wondering what everyone else would be having for dessert.
