Tooth Pillow

Although my son, Cruz, had all his baby teeth in by the time he was 6 months old, he has yet to lose a tooth. Nonetheless, I am prepared for when he DOES! I found the cutest and chicest tooth pillow for him when the big day comes.

This little pillow has a perfect sized pocket for a tooth, money and a little note to or from the tooth fairy.  It fits nicely under the pillow and looks nice sitting on a shelf as it waits for the next round.

Nothing cries chic like a boy in a swimsuit holding a tooth pillow.

Cruz is weirdly excited b this pillow.

The pocket is made from unbleached muslin, the front is organic hemp, and the backing is unbleached canvas. Minimalist, modern, and natural looking!

A sticker to show size. YES, I KNOW WEIRD CHOICE OF A STICKER, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do (and I was at a loss for anything but this sticker choice).

Now that I have the tooth pillow, we are waiting to see when Cruzzie loses his first tooth. Until then, do tell me — what is the going Tooth Fairy rate these days? Does she (is it a “she”?) write a note? If so, what does she say? And do you keep the lost teeth (for some reason that grosses me out….)

  1. In my opinion a good range is $2-$5. I think it starts to take away from the excitement and innocence of it all when its about how high the number is rather then the experience of a fairy leaving you something under your pillow. Fairy dust, quarters, and notes can be far more exciting anyway at that age.

  2. We saved my daughter’s first tooth in a wooden tooth shaped box but yes I agree its a little gross and unnecessary after that. Cruz must be so excited to put his pillow use!

  3. That is such a precious little pillow! I say $1 per tooth … maybe more for the first and last or however you want to make the rules. Also, leaving $1 coins might make it even more special as it is something fun to save, as well as a new toothbrush!
