Here we are, Oregon Summer 2015! I arrived just a little over 24 hours ago from New York and it feels like I never left. I must say that I have had a hard time adjusting the first week….I always want to make a plan and have a hard time not having a “busy schedule”. That said, after a week in Eugene, I get the hang of doing nothing and get to be way more mellow and relaxed (all of it disappears the moment that I land in NYC). Totally jet-lagged, exhausted, and tired, here is a quick look at some photos of my first 24 hours in Eugene.
Not pictured; my first run back with the Eugene Track Club, the delicious and healthy food cooked by my beloved mother (imagine a fava bean faro salad, chard / spinach / kale salad, and other healthy green variations), me getting mad at my parents for not paying enough attention to me (classic that I revert to being my 16 year old self), scorching 90+ degree weather, me in my pajamas at 630 pm, and very happy kids to be with their grandparents for the summer! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I hope to adjust to west coast time and mentality STAT.
looks like heaven
Enjoy decompressing!
That’s wonderful that your children get to spend the summer out of the city and experience a different kind of living! Have a great time!
So sweet! What nice memories you will all have.
Can you please adopt me? I need to implement this lifestyle as well – stat.
so peaceful and relaxing, love Oregon!!
Welcome home!! Have a wonderful green summer! 🙂
