Spring Activities in NYC 2015

Believe it or not, Summer is around the corner! 6 more weeks! So better get going on the Spring Activities in New York City. My list is long and I hope to accomplish most of them this season!

1. Stroll the grounds at Storm King

A way of being outside in nature and enjoying art at the same time. Looks so beautiful and interesting and fun in the Spring or Fall!

2. Eat at The Inn at Pound Ridge

Located a mile or so from our home in Pound Ridge, this restaurant is AMAZING and ridiculous beyond belief. I have eaten there a handful of times and want to go back immediately! On the top of my to-do-list!

3. Attend The Book of Mormon

Last week, I had the opportunity to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I had no idea what I was getting into, so was a little stunned and shocked. That said, it was a brilliant, creative, fun, and engaging Broadway Show. I loved the feeling of being in Times Square (less so at the end when I was wandering the street at 1030 pm alone and not able to find a cab) and being cultured and seeing a show! Now, The Book of Mormon!

4. Eat my way through Smorgasburg

Food, views, sunshine, and more food!

5. Spend more time at the Liberty Science Center

Location in Jersey City, this monstrous museum can suck you and your family in for hours! Educational, fun, engaging, and well done.

6.  Wander downtown and find our own hidden treasures

Days with no plans are the best to wander and explore.

7. Take a ride on Jane’s Carousel

Jane's Carousel is one of the most picturesque places in all of New York. The best way to get to Jane's, is by taking the East River Ferry -- another adventure on its own.

8. Family Bike Ride on Governor’s Island

I AM MOST EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE! The season opens up on May 23rd and then you can take your bikes and ride around the car-less island. I can *NOT* wait!

9. Cool off at Snowdays Shavery

This place is unreal. A must go to -- heavenly shaved ice.

This place is unreal. A must go to — heavenly shaved ice. I wrote a post on it back in November — when it was freezing and sub 40 temperatures, and now that it is Spring, I can’t wait to go back and eat some more. So delicious.

10. Eat at Brooklyn Fare Chef’s Table

Yes, I know not necessarily a Spring specific place, but there is something about eating a big meal with a big glass of Rose and not being too cold or not too hot, that just sounds so good. And this place looks phenomenal.

  1. Thanks for sharing these! I’m always looking for new things to do on the weekends. Storm King sounds like such a nice place to spend the day!
