Snowdays Shavery

Happy Sunday!  Sorry for the delayed Friday food post, but lots going on, including the great Josie Fragrance/Fashion event at Bloomingdale’s yesterday!

Yes, it is November and the cold weather is here (GULP), but the conditions won’t stop me from eating shaved ice. YES SIR-E, shaved ice. In winter… even though my shaved ice store of choice is a 50 block subway ride away in the East Village. Despite the train, the cold, and the effort, it is 100% worth it. This place is unlike anywhere else! Snowdays Shavery is a snowcream shop for Asian-inspired shaved frozen cream topped with candies, cereals, fruits & syrups. If you like halo-halo (my favorite Filipino dessert) or Thai-Shaved Ice (Taiwanese), you will *love* this place. Snowcream is an evolution of the Taiwanese and Korean shaved ices, (which has taken over the west coast) and is now moving quickly across the nation.

  1. I love this place! Not sure if i’ll be going as much in the winter but it’s still delicious.

    • I KNOW! RIght???? I AM OBSESSED. Next time you are in NYC, we will have to go to this place — so good! Almost as good as that random Thai Shaved Ice Place in the middle of the LA ghetto? DO YOU REMEMBER THAT PLACE????
