One of the best aspects of running the marathon is the ability to eat more than normal. HELLLOOOO carbs, HELLLOOOO sweets, HELLLOOOO doughnuts!
And I am not talking about just ANY type of doughnut — but the KING of all doughnuts — Doughnut Plant. Located in the neighborhood of Chelsea in NYC (also on the Lower East Side), Doughnut Plant makes fresh, filled mini and large doughnuts, with creative glaze & filling combinations. They are unbelievable and you can’t.just.eat.one. You basically end up eating as many as you buy….so if you buy some for “friends,” then expect to eat those, too.
Look at the variety of flavors, types (yeast, cake, and filled). I always end up at the bakery wanting to buy only one and walking out with a dozen. OOPS.
Of course, I love the doughseeds best — mini, round filled doughnuts. Smaller doughnuts = no sugar and no calories, right? Flavors are Peanut Butter & Blackberry Jam, Chocolate Hazelnut and Pumpkin. HOW CAN YOU NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE????? In addition to craving doughnuts while I run, I also love the fries (more than normal) at Fred’s and Levain cookies. I run to eat and eat to run. If you like doughnuts, then make sure to visit Doughnut Plant. You will not regret it. Promise.
These look delicious
Yum!
I saw your husband on HSN this morning!
