Kitty Shoes

Every parent thinks that their kids are the cutest in the world.  I am no different. I am also aware that they are a little more exotic looking than plain-Jane (or myself).  I definitely get stopped a lot in the streets by strangers commenting on how beautiful they are. I always appreciate the straight-forward remarks and admire people’s courage to speak openly to strangers.

And more often than not, they also comment on my daughter’s shoes. And let me tell you, these shoes are BEYOND amazing. They are hands down the cutest, most fun, stylish shoes on the planet. Basically, they are like Louboutins on a 2 year old. They cry chic, sophisticated, stylish, and high brow.  What is not to love about them? They make the outfit, girlfriend.

And yes, these shoes are Charlotte Olympia. For the Fashionistas out there, they know what this brand is all about (fun, unique, sophisticated). And for the others, i.e. Birkenstock-wearing-hippies, Charlotte Olympia is a high end, luxury British shoe company with a cult following. The kitty shoes are a luxurious velvet flat that features a cat face.

They are not cheap, far from it. Rather they are quite expensive. BUTTTT (Big but!) these were a gift from a dear friend for Tusia’s (our nickname for Zoe) 2nd birthday. And now, I kinda want to give these as a baby present or big-girl-birthday-present for special and close friends. I mean, how cute and fun are they?? And you can even get a matching pair for mom! Expensive, but well worth the comments and stops from strangers. Plus, what little girl doesn’t love velvet and kitty-cats? My little girl wants to kiss them every time she takes them off!
