Paris (Lunch) Food

Our two favorite meals during our 3 day stay in Paris were both lunches, excluding the random baguettes with ham, butter, and cheese I ate throughout the stay (THAT is my favorite meal in Paris). French food at its finest, take a look!

 

Caviar Kaspia

 

Located in Place de la Madeline, this restaurant has been open since the 1920s. It is a classic Parisian restaurant that is elegant, dignified, and quiet. The food is seafood based, although it has a little bit of everything. Definitely worth visiting.

Le Loir Dans Le Theiere

 

This restaurant is located at the end of Rue des Rosiers (the falafel row in the Marais) and mainly filled with Parisians for brunch. There was a long wait (the French stand in a line for restaurants vs. putting your name down), but it was well worth it. Very few tourists compared to the other places in the Marais.

 

Le Loire Dans La Theiere is located in the Marais at the end of a touristy block, and the food was exceptional.

A Parisian told us to come here and the food was exceptional. Did not disappoint.

And although not lunch *or* food, we loved ending our afternoons of endless walking by stopping in at any restaurant or brasserie to enjoy the sites over a glass of rose. The simple pleasures in life!

I can’t wait to return to Paris (Paris Marathon 2015 anyone?) and eat more French food. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am packing up the family for the summer as we head out to Oregon early next week. Happy Summer Solstice!
