Flash! Blink! And now it is 2014! Happy New Year, friends.

I am not sure if it is because I am blonde or what, but I don’t really understand the difference between “resolutions” and “goals.” So for 2014, here is my list of goals/resolutions/wishes/dreams. All 14 of them (got it — 2014, 14 goals?). And if you are feeling really inspired, take a look at my 2013 goals (and how many I repeat) and 2012 goals (many of the same, again).

1. Savor little mundane moments with the kids

Playing with pinecones = extra special time.

2. Less is more

less

AHHH math.

3. Cook more frequently

So excited to cook these amazing recipes from this cookbook given to me by my mom. Stay tuned for recipes from this later this year!

Need help with math? Shameless plug: I am a math teacher turned blogger, private math tutor, and stay at home mom! I work with students from 1st through 12th grade (including calculus). I love working with students one on one and seeing them grow into competent, confident, and secure mathematicians.

6. Focus on positive relationships

The loves of my lives.

7. Live it up!

Ice Cream Sundaes EVERYDAY!

Ice Cream Sundaes EVERYDAY! We never know when something bad (or good) will happen, so why wait? Go out to dinner, splurge when need be, enjoy life, eat dessert, and just DO IT!

8. Drink more water

Every year, I make a commitment to drink more water, and every year, I don't do it. So this year, WILL BE THE YEAR! And with the help of this amazing water bottle, I will do it!

9. Don’t take things personally

I have thin skin, and really need to work on looking at things through a different lens and compare reality to perception.

11. Take (more) hot baths

12. Read more self help books

I improved on reading books this past year, and now I want to read other books, that can help widen my mind. Trippy. But true.

13. Run the Paris Marathon in under 3:55

Yep, doing it again! And this year, I want to shave my time by 5-10 minutes! Pareeh, here I come again!

14. Concentrate on the present moment
