Philippine Relief Effort

The pictures are so sad.  I can’t watch the news without tearing up. What complete devastation, tragedy, and loss.

As many of you know, my mother-in-law Josie Natori [1] was born and raised in the Philippines, and Natori’s factory is there (she is actually in Manila right now).  While the news is mostly positive for the family and factory workers, the devastation in the areas most affected by the storm is beyond belief. The damage is tremendous, and so many people are without homes, resources, and money.

To help encourage donations, Natori has created a “recognition” page on its website for companies and people who have donated to any charity providing support to the Philippines.  If you have donated or are interested in donating (either as a company or an individual), click here [2] to see the site.  From the page, you can download instructions on how to be included.  As you can see, there is some pretty good company and Natori is also offering to backlink to a website of choice.

There is also a page with links to different charities assisting relief efforts here [3].  Sadness.  Thoughts and prayers with everyone affected. Every penny counts.
