Summer Thirst Quenchers

What is better than a perfect glass of COOL on a HOT summer day? Nothing. So here are three drinks that are refreshing, easy, and delicious.

MINT CRANBERRY SELTZER

We created this concoction on our babymoon to Antigua back in February. Every day on the beach, we would order the same drink and guzzle it down in seconds. So fresh, so cool, so easy!

Ingredients:

* Mint

* Cranberry Juice

* Seltzer Water

* Ice (optional – I don’t like ice in anything)

Directions

* Crush some mint in a glass (lots of it)

Mint. The more, the merrier

* Add ice (optional), 3/4 seltzer water

Sparkling water. Is there a difference between seltzer, sparkling water, and club soda? Does anyone have any idea?

* Add a healthy splash of cranberry juice!

Voila

* Serve, sip, and sigh!

If you buy mint and have extra, you can use it on this recipe!

PERRIER GRAPEFRUIT FLAVOR

Green bottle + Pink Fruit = Just Right

I love sparkling water, so much that it is almost an addiction. I love every brand, every flavor, cold, icy, luke warm, whatever. Anything tastes good to me. But recently, I stumbled across Perrier Grapefruit — and now, I have a favorite flavor and brand. Perrier Grapefruit is the perfect mixture of bubbles, tang, and sweet. Nothing makes me say AHHHH more than this drink. It is so right-on either on its own, or with a touch of any juice added to it. Now, I am a loyal Perrier Grapefruit drinker.

Perrier is a French brand as its water comes from a spring in France, so an added bonus of the Grapefruit flavor is that it uses the coolest French word possible. Pamplemousse. How awesomely cool is that word? (BTW, my favorite Spanish word is pencil sharpener. Sacapuntas).

EMERGEN-C

After a long day in the office (or running after the kids at a pool or sitting on your tush watching The Bachelorette), nothing is better for a quick hydrating pick me up than a packet of Emergen-C in water. There are a ton of flavors to choose from — all tasty — and the handy packets can be easily stashed away in a purse for a speedy re-hydration. Go here for free samples of Emergen-C! (Free! Hydrating! Cool!)

The powder has a mix of vitamin C and vitamin B, electrolytes, nutrients, and antioxidants, with nutritional vitamins for energy. WHOA -- lots of power in one swig of powder. Wonder Woman here we come!

Remember to stay hydrated on hot summer days! Have a great weekend, and drink up! And let me know if you have any thirst quenchers that you love! Share the love!
