As geeky as it sounds, I am ecstatic about my new recent purchase. A crock pot. I have been contemplating buying one for quite some time, but never got around to it. Finally, with the winter weather here in NYC, I decided to take the plunge and invest in the crock pot. I claimed it was a “you-are-a-great-papa-present” to my husband, but in reality, it was for me. (That is how most presents seem to work these days. oops).
Crock pots, also known as slow cookers, are ideal for cold and chilly days. I love the fact that you can just plop things into a container, press a button or three, and then forget about it for several hours. And then, voila! Dinner is ready! Not sure why, but the slow cooker makes everything richer; saturated with a deeper and solid flavor. There are a myriad of recipes online for crock pots — for veggie lovers or meat eaters. So many different options in one little container!
You can buy the All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker at Williams-Sonoma or even at Target (for a fraction of the price).
Here are my favorite recipes for my new purchase that I have made in the past AND/OR want to make in the near future.
Do you have any favorite crock pot recipes? Hook me up with them, as I know it is going to be a long winter and we all need to stay warm!
Have a great weekend!

EM! Definitely! I am seriously obsessed with the new crock pot — in one week alone, we have used it THREE times! My absolute favorite so far is the Moroccan chicken. What are yours? SEND me them!!! xo
Whoo hoo, ladies! Jumping on the crock pot band wagon. My favorite source of recipes is the cookbook, Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker (http://www.amazon.com/Fresh-Vegetarian-Slow-Cooker-Recipes/dp/1558322566). So much goo stuff in there.
