DRUM ROLLLLLLLLLLL…….my hubba hubba husband is now El Capitan of The Natori Company (also know as President). For some readers, you might think OBVI, he is the son, so of course, he is President. But that is not the case. Ken never thought he was going to work for his mother and set out to make a name for himself. He was a TV and radio broadcaster at Bloomberg for 5 years (Ken Natori, What’s the story?), then went to Stanford Business School (near-perfect GMAT scores), worked at Lehman Brothers for several years (left before the crash), and then joined the family business in 2007. I am proud of my husband for working hard, committing to what he believes in, being a diligent and thoughtful worker, and at the same time as being the smartest person I have ever met (other than my brother and father —  they all tie for first place). So now, a new era of new life for the Natori business, and I am proud and in awe of my husband’s dedication, drive, and talents. So to celebrate, I got him this plate (this is not a joke).

Before I talk about my new robe obsession, I have to discuss something that makes me so happy; Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton dating. YUP, I know, totally pathetic and oh-so-weird, but I am a huge fan of The Voice. And I kinda feel like I did watching Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf when they were together – same type of butterflies and happiness.  Gwen and Blake are just too cute, and oh so fun. So watch this. Natori Granny Panties: Pure Allure

Super early in the morning, I tend to browse the Natori website, searching for the next addition to my ever-growing collection of Natori goodies. So when I came across Natori’s new Pure Allure Brief in its + Support collection, I immediately clicked-clicked-clicked (YUP, this homegirl loves granny panties!).  While I’ve always been a fan of big undies (Feathers Undies and Bliss Undies), reading “+” and “support” made me a tad bit skeptical. But low and behold, the undies blew me away and immediately became my new favorite pair of undies EVER.

Natori Feathers T-Back Bra

Ever since the Natori Feathers Bra came out, it has been the *only* bra that I wear. I own a bzillion bras (but of course) and they are all the Feathers Bra (see my love of the Feathers line here and here). HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE BRA — no competition whatsoever! In the past year, Natori came out with another Feathers Bra, the Feathers T-Back Bra….for whatever reason, I never bought (correction, ordered) it. Unnntillllllll, this weekend, when Sarah Jessica Parker, aka SJP posted herself wearing it.  YUP, now, I need one STAT.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, I was delighted to attend the Spring 2016 Josie Natori Fashion presentation yesterday. It was a striking, beautiful, breathtaking and unique experience. And as always, I am incredibly proud of and impressed by my talented mother-in-law and her whole design team. Josie Natori Retail Store – Giveaway!

It has been over ten months since the Natori retail store opened its doors in Nolita (253 Elizabeth Street, between Houston and Prince)! The store looks amazing and I wanted to share the new windows and merchandise. Since Spring is now here (April showers bring May flowers), head downtown, wander around the streets, eat a pizza and buy a bra and a dress.  Enjoy the pics and see details of an awesome *giveaway* at the end of the post!

 

Entertainment out of the Natori shop last Friday. YEP, this hunk of a dude, played for two hours outside of the store for FREE! (He is in fact, the son of Josie Natori, and my husband, Ken Natori). He is also a budding musician, dedicated and devoted to the brand, and a super hunky handsome dude.

Readers- First off, thanks so much for your support / comments / emails after my post on Monday.  It was a much more personal and vulnerable post than normal. Although I am a still uncomfortable about being so exposed on the internets (why hello fertility treatments), I am glad I went out on a limb. And all your support and feedback makes it all worth it… On to today’s post!

 

My favorite go-to pajama (other than a tee shirt and undies) is a classic sleepshirt. And now, Natori has created the best sleepshirt of them all. White, crisp, cotton with embroidery! I brought it with us on spring break vacation last week, but instead of sleeping in it, I used it as a beach cover up! Multifunctional, beautiful, and comfortable!

On this blog, we have had the privilege of seeing some aspects of my mother-in-law (Josie Natori)’s home; her (sick and drool-worthy OMG I NEED IT NOW) closet  and the (incredible, chic, and original) silver bathroom in herapartment. And now, we have the opportunity to take a sneak-peek look at the Natori Office in NYC (I highlighted my mother in law’s office here — the office within the office). Josie Natori RTW Fall 2015 Fashion Show

On a freezing (think 20 degrees and windy) but beautiful day, the Josie Natori Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear show took place at the DiMenna Center in Midtown Manhattan yesterday.  And as always, the collection was incredible — details, embroidery, intricacy, the works. A well put together collection of looks inspired by Istanbul; where East meets West. Once again, huge congratulations to the whole Natori team, and my creative Mother-In-Law!

Yes, my 2.5 year old daughter got her own personal invitation to a fashion show. However, this time around, she did not join us, as in September, she stood on one leg, while my son sat on the other (not that fun for me).

Maybe it is from the extensive NYC Kindergarten interview / application process this past Fall, but for whatever reason, I became obsessed with finding the right pencil skirt. Nothing screams more “conservative” and “boring” and “grown up” than a classic pencil skirt, and yet…….I needed to have one! I scoured the internet for a hip looking skirt, to find that the best one was sitting right in front of me. Yep, a pencil skirt from Josie Natori. And I must say, that it is by far, the most perfect pencil skirt I have ever owned (yes, I only own one, but this is hands down a gold medal winner). I could have saved countless hours and just purchased with one single click. So ladies, you owe me! As followers of the company know, Natori opened a retail store in June, its first boutique in Manhattan!  Located in Nolita on 253 Elizabeth Street (between Houston and Prince), the store changes themes every couple of months. As one can imagine, I am a tad bit obsessed with underwear. Sounds kinda creepy, but in all honesty, I can’t help myself. I mean, COME ON, I am married into a lingerie family, so it makes sense. Right? RIGHT! Currently, I have two underwear obsessions, the Natori Bliss Bloom Briefs and the Nuit Briefs (Bonne Nuit!) They are very similar, and both the perfect girl hipster undies — sit at the hips, not too big, not too small, with just the right amount of lace and va-va-voom. A goldilocks type of Undie!

Apparently I am the last one to know that a scent you put on your body is not called ‘perfume.’ Rather, it is called ‘fragrance.’ So, ladies, I am pleased to announce the ever-so-new and ever-so-fresh fragrance by Josie! Light, airy and transparent, this scent is infused with Asian pear, Sampaguita (the national flower of the Philippines) and some vanilla which makes it sweeter and fun for summer.
