Dimes Restaurant

Dimes has been on my list of places to eat for quite some time, not just because of its cool and hipster vibe, but also for its healthy (and colorful) menu. We recently ventured downtown (49 Canal Street) to this eclectic, health-concsious hippie dippy, hipster minimalist, holy cow delicious restaurant. I was in pig heaven¬† — so many healthy choices to choose from!

Little Circus

Totally biased, but I tend to think my kids are the cutest little munchkins in the world (#humblebrag) and people always ask me where I buy my clothes for them. EASIEST ANSWER EVER: Little Circus! Little Circus is an e-commerce site for kids clothes, toys, and gifts. It really has everything and anything that you want to buy for kids, and better yet, it is created, owned, and operated by my dear friend, Jenna Lonstein. Jenna is a hip, young, fashionable mother of two, who started this company several years ago. (Read on for a special promo code for Josie Girl readers!)

Zara Leopard Shoes

I am a huge fan of slip-on comfortable shoes that are hip and easy to walk in. And these Zara Leopard shoes check off the boxes. These flat leather ankle boots are made out of natural cowhide with elastic side panels and white rubber soles. They are quick to slip on, flat to run a marathon with, and a la mode en ce moment. I imagine that my Parisian Girl Crushes are wearing them now, too.

Rod Lavers

Not sure what is happening, but I am reliving all my fashion trends from college. Overalls, tie dye, and now Rod Lavers. I used to wear Rod Lavers every single day in college. Literally — with dresses (yup, guilty), shorts (cute), and jeans (typical). And what do you know? On trend! Rod Lavers are back in action!

Lapland Bracelets

Scandinavia not only produces beautiful people and unbelievable weddings, but also amazing products. One of my favorite accessories is its Lapland bracelet. Lapland, inhabited by the Sami people (the only indigenous people of Scandinavia), is a region in northern Fennoscandia, stretching across Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. Its bracelets are the best!

Mercy

Heading to a party tonight but worried that you will be hungover in the morning? Just had a good workout and need an extra boost (more like my reality)? Drink today, save tomorrow! So, drink Mercy!

Mercy

Mercy is a vitamin and amino acid packed, caffeine-free, non-alcoholic, tasty and bubbly drink.  If you are using it for hangover prevention, you are supposed to drink it the night of the par-dy to fortify your body against the damages caused by booze. I was turned on to it by a trainer who drank it after a workout.

Mercy angels

Basically, Mercy contains amino acids, vitamins, anti-oxidants electrolytes and herbal supplements that can either help eliminate toxins produced by alcohol consumption, or just give you a non-caffeinated boost.

Sleek Mercy can. Feminie, chic, sophisticated, delicious, and effective.

Upstate Sweatshirt

I love tie-dye. Tie-dye is TO-DIE for. Especially when it is on a hoodie sweatshirt. I mean, can you get a better combination than that???? That combo is like peanut butter and jelly. Or cookies and milk. Or toast and butter. It just makes perfect sense and goes together hand in hand. So, thank you Upstate for making the most amazing and awesome sweatshirts. It is my dream come true!

Upstate is a Brooklyn based company that designs (and hand dyes) garments with a technique known as shibori. Shibori is an ancient Japanese tradition of dyeing cloth using several different methods of binding, folding, or compressing the fabric. The look creates an artsy array of patterns and textures.

Love the contrast in colors, the geometric consistency, and overall look of this Upstate piece!
