Costanoa

Greetings from beautiful Northern California!  We just had an amazing weekend catching up with our Stanford friends in Costanoa. Part camping, part hotel; basically high-end roughing it. Not camping, but pretending to camp.

Our bungalow, aka a yurt. This little shelter is made up of plastic walls. Like a tent, but actually a little cottage.

Pangulasian, El Nido, Palawan

Hands down, the highlight of our 2016 trip to the Philippines was our visit to Pangulasian, El Nido, Palawan. To say the resort, scenery, environment, location, food, service, experience was amazing is an understatement. I will go out on a ledge to say that it was the most beautiful and breathtaking vacation I have ever been on. It was so incredible that I would fly across the world again tomorrow to spend more time there.

To get to the resort, we had to fly from Manila to El Nido, then take a van to a boat. The boat was a tiny speed boat that took 20-30 minutes to get us there. Worth every travel minute to get to this paradise.

Punta Fuego, Philippines

Our holiday trip to the Philippines has been a mix of time spent in metro Manila where most of Ken’s family lives, and time spent out of Manila, which is more know for beautiful beaches, nature, and tourism.  (Fortunately, Typhoon Nina didn’t do as much damage to Manila as some had forecast).  Our first getaway was to gorgeous Punta Fuego, where we went with Ken’s 11 cousins (on his mom’s side of the family), 4 kids (including our two), and 2 of 3 spouses (including me).  Enjoy the pics!

Kiini Bikini

The Kiini bikini! This new popular all-over-the-place bikini is completely mainstream, but I am hopping on the bandwagon. Obsessed! I love the look, the colors, the vibe. This crochet bikini is handmade, so no two are alike. The classic triangle form is the perfect shape and the material embodies the bohemian Josie Girl vibe. What is not to love?

Natori Sahara Sleepshirt / Beach Coverup

Readers- First off, thanks so much for your support / comments / emails after my post on Monday.  It was a much more personal and vulnerable post than normal. Although I am a still uncomfortable about being so exposed on the internets (why hello fertility treatments), I am glad I went out on a limb. And all your support and feedback makes it all worth it… On to today’s post!

My favorite go-to pajama (other than a tee shirt and undies) is a classic sleepshirt. And now, Natori has created the best sleepshirt of them all. White, crisp, cotton with embroidery! I brought it with us on spring break vacation last week, but instead of sleeping in it, I used it as a beach cover up! Multifunctional, beautiful, and comfortable!

The look. And don't mind the background -- can it be any more beautiful? DAMN I was a lucky girl....

Natori Beach Must Haves!

Natori Beach Must Haves! Now that we are in the middle of summer, we are in the full swing of beach / pool / lounging. And these Natori products are essential for summer dayz. Hawt dawg.

Josie Sunbleached Chemise / Coverup

Yes, this is officially a chemise, but it also works as a coverup. Win-win! I love the ombre colors, softness of the ultra-soft jersey, and the ease of the silhouette.

Surf Bazaar Harem Pants

Totally in love with my beachwear from Surf Bazaar!  Their tanks, tees, and tunics are my beach and summer go-tos (FYI- we just got back from a great vaca in Puerto Rico), and now they have created a pant that is beyond amazing. And these aren’t just your typical pants — they are the perfectly combined craziness of (1) neon (2) drop crotch (3) embroidered cutouts. It is every trend in ONE pant — Hallelujah!
