Currently Loving January 2019

Back at it again….here is what I am currently loving this month!

1. The Dawn Wall

Recommended by a friend to watch, I saw this movie before we went to see “Free Solo” — another exhilarating and amazing film that I highly recommend. I loved everything about “The Dawn Wall” — and the message of how you don’t know anything is impossible until you try to make it possible. Tommy Caldwell is inspiring, strong, talented and a serious bad a$$. Since watching “The Dawn Wall,” I have read every article about Tommy and listened to every podcast that he has been in. Incredibly addicting and mesmerizing.

2. Green Adidas Slides

The past two years, I have been living in my slides in warm weather. At the end of last summer, I custom created a pair of green adidas slides and I love them so much. I mean, how could I not love green kelly slides on my feet? They now have so many colors — hot pink, anyone? So much love for these little pieces of plastic!

3. One Day in December

My go-to-trust-worthy-friend-of-everything-and-anything gave me this book to read saying it was a feel good love story. And sure enough, I finished it in two days as I couldn’t put it down. I sobbed at the end (I am a big crier — happy and sad books) and just loved the light, fun read. Definitely great for a plane ride, beach trip, or cozy night in.

4. Natori Metallics

I know I am biased, but I truly love anything Natori. Especially the beautiful detailed lacy looks of the chemises. So when I was in the showroom last week, I couldn’t help but ooohhh and ahhhhh at all the beautiful looks. If I didn’t hate ironing as much as I do, I would have one of these in every color to wear every night. Luxurious, beautiful, exquisitely glamorous.

5. Psychedelic Window Installation at the Louis Vuitton Store on 57th Street

As my instagram followers know, I have found myself going on a daily walk to look at the new installation on the Louis Vuitton store. It is beyond cool and there is nothing that makes me happier than looking up and seeing something spectacular. The 12 story installation is colorful, sparkly, and unique. Even better, Virgil Abloh (the creative director of LV) placed an “x” on the corner opposite the store for the best viewing of the installation. I have found it amazing to stand nearby and watch NO ONE look at the X and the building itself. At night, the store is lit up and shines even more. Definitely worth checking out — it is the small things in life that bring a smile to my face!
