Currently Loving October 2017

One more day left of October, so not too late for “Currently Loving” for the month! Here they are! Here is what I am currently loving in October 2017!

1. Busy Philipps

Her name is Busy. Her daughters names are Birdie and Cricket — now do you wonder why I want her to be my BFF?

I don’t know her from tv or movies, but I somehow landed on her instagram account (isn’t that how everything works these days….everything leads back to instagram…) and became obsessed with her instagram stories. She is genuine, authentic, beautiful, and oh so funny. I love her taste in music, clothes, and random thoughts. You must watch her on her stories — too funny. I also am determined to become friends with her…anyone have a connection? Sign me up please!

2. Making Soups

Soup AND grilled cheese. Yes please.

I love cooking and eating soups. It transplants me to my childhood where my mom made soups every week.  I ate a lot of soups growing up, and I want that to be the same with my kids….although I’m not sure we have the same taste palette quite yet (kale anyone?). In the meantime, I will keep making soups because there is something so relaxing and soothing about making them. And even better, eating them.

3. May I have this Dance: Francis and the Lights

Francis and the Lights.

Recently I have been binge listening to everything Francis and the Lights. Especially this song, which sounds like a fun Peter Gabriel twisted song that is happy and fun all at the same time. Plus, my kids love singing along….how can you not love it.

4. Pejoy Chocolate cream filled biscuit sticks

Chocolate biscuits! in a box!

I have a strong sweet tooth.  For a long time I was curbing my intake of sugar, but then I realized, I love dessert.  So if it is my one vice, then so be it. I love chocolate, and love chocolate cookies. Especially when they are light and fluffy. So these cousins of Pocky sticks (my other obsession) are my new favorite mid afternoon treat. I love them.

5. Flying Tiger Halloween Decorations

Halloween decorations.

My favorite store (like the dollar store or IKEA) has the best selection of cheap and cute Halloween decorations. As someone who is not good at decorating the house for holidays, this place helps me immensely. It allows me to buy lots of decorations and not spend a lot (I bought a skeleton, cups, straws, garland, flags, bats, and much more for a total of 14 dollars. 14 DOLLARS for the house to be decorated!) Win Win Win!

There you have it, my top 5 loves of the month. What are you digging and enjoying this month? Please share. I always love hearing everyone’s thoughts on what they currently love! And November….see you very soon.
