Ellenos Greek Yogurt

Last week when I was at the grocery store (my favorite hobby –> grocery shopping), I came across a new-t0-me product, Ellenos Greek Yogurt. It looked delicious and I liked the packaging, so I decided to buy one to try. At checkout, the clerk said to me “This stuff is crack. I have never done crack, but this stuff is what I imagine crack to be like, and once you start, you cannot stop.” I giggled and moved on.

Well what do you know, this stuff REALLY IS CRACK AND I CANT STOP EATING IT.  Addictive, rich, amazing, delicious, and smooth. Currently, it is only sold at Whole Foods and random locations on the West Coast, but mark my word, this stuff will soon be sold everywhere in the United States — guaranteed. It is unlike any other yogurt I have ever tasted and really feels like a dessert more than anything.

Why buy one flavor when you can buy four?

Most people are unfamiliar with marionberries as it is a Pacific Northwest fruit, it is a hybrid between a raspberry and a blackberry. So the mixture of Seattle yogurt and marionberries feels just right.

Hands down, this is my favorite flavor. I am a huge fan of any dessert with lemon in it, and this really tastes like lemon pie or lemon pudding. I savor every bite and wish there was no bottom to it.

Mango is also pretty darn good, too. But in reality, they are all SO GOOD.

Blue and white packaging also seems so greek, and so hip. And of course, I never judge a book by its cover....

To read about the family company, go here. To see where it is sold, go here. To read an article about the cult following (sign me up), go here. Even if you don’t eat dairy, eat this. I swear- it is worth it.

  1. All of these flavors look sooooo good! I wish I lived in the PNW, I would probably eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner! 🙂 Thanks for the share!

  2. MARIONBERRIES!!! I tried these once on a trip to Vancouver and I’ve fallen in love with them! Marionberry icecream is life, I wonder if the yogurt is just as good. I bet it’ll probably kill me and bring me back to life 🙂

  3. If you get up to Seattle this summer, stop in at their factory outlet in Georgetown! They also have a spot in The Market and lots of carts at various farmer’s markets here too. I’ve tried most and the lemon curd is definitely the best and most popular! So decadent!
