The beginning of April was a complete whirlwind — the night we traveled back from our Spring Break (Puerto Rico, Florida, and Oregon!), we moved into our new apartment. Then, that Friday, it was the Passover Seder at my daughter’s preschool which I have been co-chairing for the past four years (a huge event for 400 plus people). That night, I flew to Paris to run the Paris Marathon. Call me a complete NUT CASE, because all of that on its own is stressful. Put it together, it is insane. Anyways, now I am back and readjusting to life…….and here is what I am currently loving!
For those of you who do not know Flying Tiger, you need to. It is a Danish store, similar to Ikea, but for home goods and gadgets. It has everything and anything, at super cheap prices. Luckily for me, it is a block away from my son’s school, so I always find myself in there when I am early for pick up. It is great for party favors, silly gifts, and your own home. Check it out!
2. Peonies
Nothing screams spring like lilacs and peonies. They are my absolute favorite flowers. . You can’t help but look at them and feel happy!
I have always loved tequila, claiming it is a part of my half-Mexican heritage (my mother does not like this fact, nor does she like her memory of me drinking tequila at my brother’s wedding….). And this tequila, is delicious. Smoky, rich, perfect. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it is owned by George Clooney, but it doesn’t dilute the taste or quality of this tequila — this tequila tastes good (and has a pretty bottle, too).
It is the little things, right? And this tape dispenser is so happy, cheerful, and dependable. Who knew a tape dispenser could add so much to a room????
In the past month with my extreme travel schedule, I have watched a lot of movies. Some good, some bad. And this movie, Queen of Katwe, was excellent. I loved the scenery, the (true) story line, and moral of this drama. I highly recommend.
I love this article on happiness, so much that I bought Chade-Meng Tan’s book on it. So far, it has been a great read, although this article is a great introduction to it.
